I agree with you. I put this review on Facebook last night when I streamed an unrated version of it.
Saw: Final Chapter. Hard one. It was really kinda blah and had moments that annoyed me. The whole book thing reminded me of Rob Zombie's H2 with Loomis essentialy destroying that character. Didn't really "like" anybody honestly. The tra...ps were OKAY. I didn't see much of where the 3D could have been done?? What was up with doing that in public seriously that first scene?? Too contrived. And sometimes unrealistic of a series that pens itself on being "realistic"
Cary Elwes's role as the first survivor, I am trying to figure out the twist. Did John screw Hoffman essentially? Probably the better part of the movie. Not one of my favorites. Does NOT llive up to I, III, or VI. A series THIS LONG has a hard time being strong. Very few can do it. Only Phantasm have I loved every sequel.
Lionsgate screwed the dick out of its Saw fans. They did NOT release a unrated DVD of Saw final chapter but only a combo pack version only. Way to spit on your fans Lionsgate. I am kinda glad this series has passed on as many have. It has indeed outlived its prime. Served its purprose in the 20th century horror. John is a great character. But this last movie is just kinda eh. It's there I guess. Out of allt he "final chapters" Friday the 13th Final Chapter is a much worthier sequel than this movie is. Too much fillier nad not knowing what the hell to do with it as VI kinda cleaned most of it up. Cash in I guess.
I VI III IV II Final Chapter V

I don't think John screwed Hoffman. They touched upon it in part VI, remember. That is why Jill had to take him out. He started doing things all wrong and giving people unbeatable traps and not playing fair at all.Kind of like Amanda. The first trap was ridiculous that it was set up in public and no one saw it all night? REACHING! Gordon would never join Jigsaw after he tried to kill his own child, PLEASE! Big, bad plot hole there. Sorry but children are off limits. The traps were cool but a lot did not make sense, it was mindless fun though but the rest of the series was mostly quite the opposite. I saw this at the movies and must say it was the worst 3-D ever and was barely used.
I could go on and on because I love the series and Jigsaw is probably my favorite speaking villian ever.

Yep. Way too much far fetchedness and hateable characters such as what II had for me.
Definitely the second worse sequel to me behind numero V
Please nobody buy the expensive one of this movie as you'd be wasting your money. I streamed this thing instead.

No offense at all but in my opinion the only good one was the first one. The rest are mediocre at best. I mean I understand why people like them and I do like the concept of the Jigsaw killer but I do not like the fact that people say he's not a bad person. He is a psychopath who basically plays God on people he views as un worthy of life. All because he lost his child and he became diagnosed with cancer. That is no reason to comitt murder. There have been better reasons for other slashers to become well slasher. Example Jason Voorhees, victimized and tortured his whole life Jason went into the woods, became mad, and then when his mother was murdered he went into a rage and went on a systematic killing spree. Norman Bates from Psycho kills people because he has a mental illness. Because you get diagnosed with a illness that can be treated via kemotherapy and you unfortuneatly lose your child does not give you the right to ruin lives. That's why I can't get past the first one

I disagree highly with Sawfanatic. If anything it should have ended at Saw III. It trickled down the road after that (even thoguh I hated Saw II) when you killed off John that early. IV and V just truck alone (V being the worst) VI was much much better and the Final Chapter was horrid. Book deals? H2 Zombie much? Yeah on that. To each his own.

Watch III Senor. It doesn't have hatable characters like II does. It should have ended at III if you ask me. IV phones it in. V is horrid. And VI is pretty damn good. Final Chapter is piss.

I love Saw III. It is just a notch below the original. I reccomend it for anyone. I seriously wish there really would be a real life John Kramer lol.

I've seen all but the most recent one. The only one that stands out to me is the original. All the sequels seem to run together for me and I can't tell which is which.

Re-watched all of 1 through 6 again. Still think II is annoying except the Twist which is fantastic.
III I recommend highly along with I. VI is a fantastic movie as well dealing with John's health. More personal.
V is just kinda blah and the twist is horrid.
IV is just WATCHABLE.
Final Chapter is still dick pee. I am having a time trying to determine which is worse Final Chapter or V.
So far the worst ones are II, V, and Final Chapter.

Finally saw the last one. I liked it quite a bit. It was great to finally see Cary Elwes character again. Even better to see Hoffman get left to die. I hate his character.

I have only seen Part 1, I have no intention in really seeing the rest either I have tried Part 2 but just didn't like it. I just find torture horror films like SAW unwatchable and nothing special.

I'm not a big fan of the series but I have a friend who is and made me watch the first 5. The first one was pretty good but I couldn't get excited about the sequels. The whole premise of somehow planning and setting all these elaborate traps/scenarios kind of requires me to suspend my disbelief a little more than I feel comfortable with lol, and I don't usually have that problem. I can understand why some people like them pretty well, the deaths are pretty wicked.

I appreciate this franchise a lot because to me all the movies were good and there is no way I could choose one over the other when it comes to which I liked more. I can't say that when it comes to Jason, Freddy, Michael, etc.

Only thing good about the second sequel was John and the cliff hanger! Because those people were some of the most annoying and truly hatable. I wanted them to all die@!

The studio the released the Saw movies is actually considering rebooting the franchise. Seriously way too soon for that IMHO.
