I think they have to go with a villian that is somewhat recongnizable in order to drive ppl into the movie, the fact that he's not going with the Riddler is somewhat strange but i won't be surprised to see a Catwomen role in this one

Batman Forever wasn't THAT bad. Batman and Robin was.
But Begins and Knight are pretty darn good you should give them a try.

The first two are solid and dandy. The third is NOT bad I don't believe. I haven't seen it in forever though maybe it is. Batman and Robin I advise watching drunk at night, you may be heavily amused. I like to change the title to BATMAN IN ROBIN Begins I found boring drunk and sober I tried it both ways, no consensus. I may be getting Dark Knight as I found a copy on Amazon for 98 cents with 2.90 shipping. I have a free gift card figured I'd use it. So I will be seeing that one soon Master Abraxis ;D

Yeah you saw Batman and Robin not Batman Forever Brax. Batman Forever was my no means good, but it was halfway ok and I personally like. Just thought "horrible horrible horrible" was a bit harsh figured you might have been talking bout 4 rather than 3.
Batman Begins is slower and probably more for Batman fans but the Dark Knight could be enjoyed by almost anyone I think you guys will like it if you see it. It's not flawless but my favorite of all the Batman movies. It's like Empire Strikes Back good which was my fav. Star Wars.

I'm still in the boat that says Mr. Freeze would be the best villain, considering both he and Batman are driven by revenge. In the case of Batman, it is over his slain parents, while with Victor Fries it is the loss of his wife - and ability to live normally - to a greedy company. It'd be the perfect compare and contrast, and ultimately, I think, give the Dark Knight a deeper character development. Unfortunately, Mr. Nolan doesn't think Mr. Freeze would be realistic enough... but I'm going to shy away from that for now.
As for the title, it does sound silly. Almost as if they're attempting to cash in on the second film.

Mr Freeze won't be returning thanks to Batman & Robin.
Don't go on a Nolan bashing fest, as I imagine the studio concurs with him on the issue, and considering that they got a billion dollar blockbuster out of him, they are wise to not meddle.

Has Scarecrow really been put to an end yet? We could be seeing him again in TDKR.

I wish. But I think Scarecrow is done.

I mean he was kind of "caught" in the beginning of TDK but who knows he could have escaped.

I highly doubt it. Because Scarecrow wouldve been released by Joker in TDK. I want him to be the villain in this soo bad but I know he won't

So basically any villian that doesn't look realistic can't be in these movies now? How cute.

Nolan is only doing one more movie, so there is no need for the Burtonites to get their panties in a knot.
If you want the overly cartoonish bad guys, you can watch The Batman or Batman: The Brave And The Bold.

You do realize that Joker, Two-Face Scarecrow and R'as Ahl Ghul are also cartoonish right?

My absolute favorite Batman movie is the 1989 movie. I really liked it's sequel too. There wasn't another good one until Batman Begins. Which was also the last good one IMO. I hated the Dark Knight. I hope the new film is more like Begins.

I'm still curious as to why. I know its overrated but just never heard that uttered. Brave man IFdude is ;D
Not sure why the bashing of "cartoonish' the fact that hte show is about a BATMAN driving a BATMOBILE fighting crime with villians like JOker, Penguin, Two Face, Scarcrow, Clock King the list is endless automatically makes this cartoonish! Otherwise you have NCIS: Gotham City.
