Tying Michael to the ancient traditions of Halloween and Samhain was an excellent touch That's the only Part I like, especially since they give a hint of that in Halloween 2. But much like JtgH we learned that over explaining a character like Michael or Jason is just a bad idea.

People just like to keep sh*t simple with simple minded movies. That's what Friday the 13th movies are... simple minded movies. Halloween movies are even more simple minded. They had absolutely NO story for Halloween 1 and look how successful it was. A movie with NO STORY was the biggest of the franchise and arguably the biggest Horror Movie ever made. Halloween 6 explained away and look how unsuccessful it was.... it's even hated by most fans because of Thorn. I however love it, I don't dwell on the Thorn thing too much. So I end up enjoying the atmosphere.

But the sequels can't really go into being plain simple all the time, Not only is it uncreative but its very bad move. Thorn is pretty much the only thing that gave the series an Direction and a reason for the franchise to keep on going. From looking at H2O and Halloween Resurrection, Has the Franchise really been saved? no, Its stuck in a corner with no story and no direction to go from, Laurie is dead, What els to tell? I only see the Thorn plot with Tommy and Kara to finish off. The First movie settles the basics but the I feel the sequels really needs to be more fresh, creative and explain more backround of the story.

I agree killing Laurie backed the Franchise into a corner... they have no where to turn and Part 8 showed that... However yes H2O I thought was excellent, they should have ended it there. Part 4 was great without Thorn to me and so was H2O. But like I said Part 6 didn't push the Franchise into a good spot in the Horror genre. It did nothing for the legend of Halloween. It didn't make a dent in the industry like Part 1,2,4 or H2O did. And none of those contained Thorn and they were all simple.

I gave this one a 2 out of 5. Just sort of a "bleh" movie. It was nice to see Michael on screen and up to no good but beyond that the movie had no substance.

Did michael kill loomis at the end? yes Where they trying to clone michael's rage into those babys? I didn't know they were, did you watch an alternative cut? Why did he kill those doctors? Because no one can truley control evil. didnt they have something to do with wynn and michael? Yes they were working for thorn and it's cause.

It was ok...my least favorite out of the myers series. I would have been much happier if they had kept the scenes from the producers cut, in the theatrical version. I hated how they had to have Jamie potrayed by a different actress, rather than just sticking with daniel harris.

I liked the film..The thorn idea was an explanation on why he does what he does..
Its not the best idea but for those who wants more out of their movies,,and or character background,,its a good attempt.
i score it 3

I wanna see this movie so bad. I've been looking for it in all the video stores still can't find it. Poor Jamie I read that she dies and had michael's baby.(Is it true?) I also read that michael pushes her off a roof. (Is that true also?) I'm really curious about this movie!
