Saw 6 was a disappointment, making only $14 million in its opening weekend and coming in second to PA, which made $21 million in less theaters.

I'm actually more interested in seeing RZ's H II now that I know that Demon liked it. I remember how much he disliked the first one. So II must be a pretty vast improvement over that film. Anyone know when it's coming to DVD?

I haven't heard anything yet. If I had to guess, I'd say around Christmas.

Then I know what to ask Santa for when I'm on his lap at the mall this year.

Saw got stupid beginning with the second one, so I don't get the appeal either. I guess it's just become a tradition for the last six years.
As for this film. I watched it again, and... still not liking it. If I take it in the perspective of just this film, it sucks. If I compare it to everything else Halloween, it still sucks.
But I can say this, I'm not as repulsed by it as before, so... maybe I'll come to accept it like I have Halloween 5.
;D

I was just joking. I wasn't planning on buying it. I have WAY too many other movies I'd buy first. I remember how awesome Torrents were. When I have my own computer again I'll be wearing out the cable modem with downloads. ;D

The Weinstein's must have pulled some strings, as they added nearly 1,000 theaters for this weekend only.
However, Paranormal Activity added 400 more and nothing will be able to beat This Is It.

The re-release was a relative bust, with a poor per theater average. Boondock Saints 2 made as much in only 68 theaters. As for the DVD, the Weinstein's apparently don't have enough funds to put out the DVD, so Sony has taken over. blu-news.com/index.php/2009/11/halloween-ii-this-january/It seems that the initial release will be a one disc version, so no documentary, but that might come later.

Me and Dina loved this flick when we saw it in theaters. We both just watched it on DVD (don't ask how we got it #smug# ) and I'm sorry to say... we were both victims of the theater experience again.... it was not very good at all. Dropped about 3 point in my opinion. Oddly the horse and ghost part didn't bother me as much this time around. I guess the less I liked it the less I cared about the flaws lol

I saw the other one for the first time last week and I had to keep shutting it off every little bit out of disgust. I eventually got through it in two days. I have not seen this one yet but I get the feeling via what I have heard this is worst than the first. I would never ever pay 10 dollars for Carmike Cinema here to watch crap I dont even want to pay for a copy when it comes out

Well I finally saw it. Lord was this movie a complete clusterf***. I had some hopes it might at the very least be decent since some members here said it was better than the first one. It wasn't. In fact it might be worse. At least with the first one there were glimpses of what makes a good Halloween. This one if they changed the characters names and put another mask on the killer you'd never know it was supposed to be a Halloween movie. The whole Horse and dead mother thing was just stupid. Laurie and Loomis were such complete assholes I didn't even care what happened to them. I'll rate it a 3. Just because some of the scenes were shot well and Sheriff Brackett was cool. But those are the only good things I can say about it.

Did you see the theatrical or the Unrated Director's cut? I saw one in the theatre and I bought the Unrated yesterday. Its not great but I like the unrated version better, it has a slightly different ending and about 15 minutes extra footage.

Good luck finding a copy of the theatrical cut in stores.
They are heavily pushing the director's cut, so far less T-cut DVD's (it isn't on Blu-Ray) were made.
From what I have read, Wal-Mart.com is sold out of it and Amazon is your best bet.
