I'm not surprised that its being put on hold for a while, just as long as its not a permanent hold.

Don't expect to hear any major news for close to a year, as Lussier has to make Drive Angry before they can start pre-production.

Hopefully they'll use the extra time to develop a better script!

www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/18319Remember how the Weinstein's were cash strapped and had to put H3D on hold, not to mention ther writer and director being busy with another movie? Well, Bob Weinstein has changed his mind and wants it out in 2010 again, and he is listening to pitches, which means that Lussier and Farmer might not be on board.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this next year.Hopefully Halloween can actually have some sort of cinematic significance to me again. The only Halloween films i watch these days are the originals.

Yeah the newer ones have defintely lost the feel that the originals had. The new ones that RZ made are good in their own right they just don't measure up to what they were based on, which in turn makes them less enjoyable to watch since try as you might you can't help but compare the two. They're like a completely different series when you compare the two.

What is certian is that Zombie is completely done with the franchise, as he and the Weinstein's don't get along that well anymore.
He had very little say in the final version of H2, hence him throwing it under a bus after claiming that it was "100% his" and calling the director's cut the real version of the movie.

Shall I assume that a vast majority of yall liked the Rob Zombie remakes of this? I haven't read through enough of the prior threads to know yet : ) Only RZH was a remake. H2 was a sequel to it and H3D will not be a remake either. EDIT as of Jan. 13/10This movie is going nowhere at the moment. The Weinstein's $80 million Oscar bait called Nine is a critical and commercial disappointment. wendago.com/2010/01/08/september-rain/

Turns out because of the failure of Piranha, H3-D will absolutely NOT be made! Piranha lost SO much money.... Dimension is not going to gamble on H3.
Oh welll... I'm happy with the first 7

I want to say Piranha 3D or no 3D I saw bootleg footage from the comic con and believe me when I say the GORE LOOKS FANASTIC. It's just for clean fun.
I watched the first one from Joe Dante and its pretty good. The sequel from James Cameron . . . not so much.
Yay ding dong this remake is dead!

" Ding ding the wicked remake the wicked remake ding dong the wicked remake IS DEAD!" I know this wasn't a remake but you get the point. Fuck remakes, while I did like RZ Halloween I hate all the other remakes especially ones done by Platinum Dunes. This going under along with F13 might finally prove to people to leave the fucking franchises to rest you greddy money grabbing dumbass studio heads! ( Talking to you Michael Bay you Anti-Christ of horror! )

Just as a reference point, Cameron was fired from the set of Piranha 2, so it isn't all his movie.
Halloween 3D was never going to be a remake of the Tom Atkins movie.
From what little was said, it would be a sequel to Halloween II.
Some people wanted another reboot, and I actually find the idea to be a good one.
