It's a pretty good show. I thought it would awful at first but its gotten to be really good. It's not as lame as half of the CW lineup is like Gossip Girl and that smite. To top it off, its made right here in my town. Not Atlanta but a small town which is my town. CW finally finds its own hit show.

My b/f and I would watch this show together every Thursday night. He loved vampire shows and movies. I think he had it on the dvr to record new episodes too. A bunch of shows too.

The show is made in my town. I was eating at Waffle House when they shot the fireworks off for the finale. I like the show and I loved the season finale! Can't wait for the next!

all the changes from the book the series did which is ridicoulous
In the books, Elena is portrayed to have pale, almost translucent skin, long blonde hair reaching almost to her waist and dark blue eyes the colour of lapis lazuli. However, in the television series, Elena is played by Nina Dobrev, who has tanned skin, dark hair and brown eyes. One of Elena's best friends in the novels is Meredith Sulez. She is beautiful with long, thick dark hair and dark gray eyes, but in the television series, she does not exist. Bonnie also has a physical and name change in the televison series, trading in her red curls and pale skin for dark skin and black hair, played by Katerina Graham, and is not timid as Bonnie is in the book, but rather strong. In the TV series Bonnie's ancestor was a servant of Katherine's who helped to protect her. Caroline Forbes has a big personality change. In the books she is mainly nasty, always plotting ways to bring Elena down but in the television series, she is Elena's self-involved, oblivious friend, who is also in love with Matt. In the books, Elena has a four-year-old sister named Margaret but in the TV series, she has a slightly younger brother named Jeremy. In the books, Vickie is Matt's sister, while Matt has no siblings in the books. In the TV series, Stefan has a strict 'no human blood' rule. However in the novels, he and Elena exchange blood often and willingly. In the books, after Elena's parents died, her Aunt Judith (who is engaged to Robert) came to look after her and Margaret, but in the TV series, Elena and Jeremy's Aunt Jenna looks after them and Robert does not exist. Also in the books Alaric Saltzman is 22 years old and Meredith's boyfriend and later fiance, but in the TV series he has already been married to Elena's biological mother, Isobel, and now expresses an interest in Jenna. Isobel, in the book Nightfall, is an Asian girl that lives with her grandmother and her younger sister. Stefan was renting a room at a boarding house in the book, while in the TV series, the Salvatores own the boarding home since the brothers are originally from Mystic Falls. They are also younger than the brothers in the books since they were turned during the Civil War. when they were originally turned during the renisance.

I guess it's still good to know I don't read books or those ;D I still like the series. Being made in my town (I think they started filming season 2 now) always a plus

I must say the fourth season has been wonderful so far. I like this show even more than True Blood and the Twilight movies.

Much darker than last season and very enjoyable so far with not as many confusing plot devices going on simultaneously. I don't see how anybody can compare this to Twilight anymore at this phase.
