I went with the Munsters. Did you guys know Jerry O'Connell will be playing Herman Munster in the reboot? I like the guy but its kind of an odd choice to me.

Speaking of the reboot Mockingbird Lane. Bryan Fuller tweeted something interesting. /photo/1Seeing Adrienne and Amy on the show would make me a lot more likely to watch.

Honestly I've never watched much of either.Maybe I should, huh? I don't know why they've never interested me much.

I'm glad NBC decided to skip doing the series. It looks like they completely messed up everything about The Munsters. I wont even bother watching it.

Yeah, they totally missed the charm of what made the old series so great. Everyone looks so generic in this new one.

Honestly I've never watched much of either.Maybe I should, huh? I don't know why they've never interested me much. I'm... surprised to hear that, Chainsaw. Seriously though, you should check out both. The Addams Family is great. Compared to the movies that would come later, there's a few key differences, most notably with Wednesday. In the movies, Wednesday is probably my favorite, while in the television series it'd be Gomez. I'm sure you'd enjoy the series. Some of the humor is lightly dark, and, well, being a fan of Horror, you should appreciate them. An episode that sticks out to me is where Gomez wants to purposely lose money in the stocks because it's more fun than winning. And besides, he's incredibly wealthy to begin with, so it isn't like he needs the extra money. His attitude and voice delivery is an awesome combination. There's also an episode where Lurch becomes a singing sensation, despite his groaning and moans. The scene where Wednesday teaches him to dance is pretty funny, and it shows how talented the young actress who played her was. She even says Lurch will be a square if he doesn't learn to dance, which is pretty hilarious: As for the Munsters. I have fond memories of catching reruns on Nick at Nite in the late 90s. Nick at Nite would have something called Block Party Summer, and it was Munsters Monday. I loved this show, and I still do. It's a little more comical than the Addams Family is, but it also seems to have more of a familial connection than the Addams Family too. That isn't to say the Addams Family lacks that family unit feeling, it just isn't as significant as with the Munsters. Grandpa and Herman were my favorites. So episodes involving them tended to be my personal treat. It really took the traditional Universal monsters and gave them a rejuvenation to a new generation. I don't often laugh at television series, but this show could do it pretty often, so that makes it stand out to me. Just ignore that "modern remake" of the Munsters. It was called The Munsters Today, and it was an 80s take on the characters. To it's credit, they did begin the pilot episode in black and white, and they explained how they went from the 60s to the 80s... but after that, well... Starts out okay, then... they "sing".
