The P-cut is a bootleg, so there is no legal way to get it.
E-Bay doesn't allow bootlegs, so don't look there.
Flesh Wound Video sells a five disc set with the P-cut and D-cut.

I never liked the P cut to be honest. It concentrated way more on Thorn than the regular version IMO.

That won't be happening anytime soon, despite the fact that the Weinstein's might be taking back Miramax.
Outside of Halloween and horror fans, no one knows that it exists, so it wouldn't be worth spending money on a DVD that wouldn't sell many titles.
Disney owns it at the moment, and they have turned down multiple pleas to release it, and if the Weinstein's own it, they won't release it either, as they have titles to release that the general buying audience actually knows about.

It isn't and will never be about the fans, who can't come to an agreement on anything.
It is too easy to get at this point, as you can watch it on YouTube, download it or get a burned copy.
Disney knew this and that is why they made their decision.

They made a wise business decision based on very little demand for a product.
Never forget that film is a for-profit business.

I have never seen the director's cut. I own the producers cut and the theatrical and actually prefer the theatrical version. I heard all this hoopla for years about how good the P-cut was and I did get myself one and it turned out to be poor quality splices inserted into the movie and the story changed very little.

Exactly how I felt. Also the ending was weird especially with magical little fucking rocks stopping Michael Myers...what...the...fuck

The P-cut is way different from the T-cut.
In the T-cut, Thorn is basically thrown out the window in favour of a bunch of science experiments that feature green ooze syringes.
Jamie has completely different deaths that happen at different points in cuts.
There isn't really a proper ending to speak of in the T-cut, as it just ends.
Asking which cut is better is like comparing AIDS to cancer though, as they both suck and spelled the end of that time line.

Strange you should say that Jeremy, the T-cut that I have always known has always been about thorn. I don't recall anything about green ooze syringes at all. Weird. The only difference in the P-cut was Jamie's death which was much better in the T-cut and some other insignificant things from what I recall. Maybe I should watch them both again though but the P-cut really pissed me off because of the pic quality in the added scenes.

There is over 40 minutes of alternate footage in the P-cut, and it looks grainy because it wasn't mastered like the T-cut was. The surgery room massacre isn't in the P-cut, and there is more Loomis footage as well. Remember that Joe Chappelle and Rand Ravich were called in to change things when the meddling Weinstein's weren't happy. Chappelle felt that Loomis was "boring" and tried to remove as much of his scenes as possible, doing it for a three picture deal. EDIT: In related news, the deal that would have brought Miramax back in control of the Weinstein's fell apart. www.hitfix.com/blogs/2008-12-11-awards-campaign-2009/posts/say-it-isn-t-so-weinstein-s-deal-to-reclaim-miramax-falls-apart
