In the original halloween after Tommy's pumpkin is destroyed by bullies one of the bullies bumps into Michael and he follows Tommy from a distance. Why? He didn't know Laurie was babysitting him or even if Tommy was gonna lead him to Laurie so why did he follow him?

Hadn't he seen Tommy with Laurie when she dropped the key off at the old Myers place?

yeah but Tommy was far from the house and Michael probably didn't a good look at him anyway. But I just thought it was very strange that Michael followed him and then stopped following him all the sudden.

Maybe Michael was bullied as a kid? So it caught his attention when TOmmy was being teased.

That could also explain why he grabbed that kid so violently when he was running away and that maybe he was crazy as a child. But wouldn't that have been brought up?

I always just thought he recognized Tommy from earlier in the day when he was with Laurie. I never thought beyond that but I'll watch that scene more closely next time to see if there is anything there I never noticed.

He distinctively follows him until he goes off the school grounds then Michael drives away. Wouldn't Michael keep following him to get to Laurie?

He already knew where Laurie was. Including the classroom window apparently.

So why go after Tommy?

He may have just gotten fixated on both of them. Why make a distinction sexually. Was he sexually attracted to Laurie? Or was he just instantaneously fixated on the two people who showed up to his house?

I think it was his being fixated. Probably though he was protecting his old house.

I also find it weird that Michael vanished literally in front of Laurie as she looked at him from the window, can he teleport now?
