You wouldn't have hated it if you never seen any sequels before getting it like me #smug#

Haha, no doubt. I got punished for doing the company a favor and buying them individually when they were only available as such.

Great franchise! I love the Norman character he's so insane, and yet so normal in many ways. Oddly I didn't see the original until after I'd seen all the sequels, I just never managed to catch it when it was on TV as a kid, I finally bought a copy of it and that's how I finally saw it.

That's crazy FS!
Ya know I know this will sound incredibly stupid of me but I gotta say... it was pretty clear to me who the killer was in Part 2. I thought it was "Normans other mother" However now I wonder... was it really Norman? Was the first kill we see him do just the first they showed him do? I think were to believe it was his new mom because of how they made her look going up the stairs. Yet in the whole movie he is not willing to kill. Yet at the end he does it like it's nothing with no real reaction. Like he's been doing it...
Any idea?

I think he did it so easily with the shovel because of his lifelong mother issues. I think seeing this woman and hearing news of that nature caused him to snap right then and there.

So who was the killer through the duration of the movie?

the killer was norman. in psycho 2 he is still sick and mrs spool's build doesn't fit the killers.

I always thought it was both of them but I didn't pay attention to the killer's build so I can't say for sure if it fits her on not.

I don't think it was Norman at all, in spite of the build. I just think that was done unintentionally. Keep in mind, the majority of the movie Norman was saying his mother was dead until he loses it towards the end. If he thought his mother was dead then he wouldn't kill again. It was Crane's sister I think.

norman also said that in psycho 4 and was still nuts in taht one. even when normans mind is normal he's still highly insane and remeber he blacks out when he's mother thus the reason why the attic door was unlcoked when norman woke up in taht room whereas he claimed it was locked

I thought Lila's daughter admitted to locking him in there?

i don't remeber that....but then how could mrs spool escape the house if both norman and mary and lila were there?

She admits locking him in the attic to her mother while she took down all the stuff in his mother's room that she used to freak him out.

Yea right exactly! BTW I am shocked you guys don't love Part 3 as well! It's so good! I watched it last night for the 2nd time! I am shocked it's not loved. The saddest thing is that we wont see much more of Norman after that one. He is barely in Part 4. All we have is 1,2 and 3 that's what sucks.. man I wish they made at least 8 of these!

That would've been great to have more of these. While I like Part 4 alot because of the backstory, it does need more adult Norman like we see at the end of the film that would have really raised the level of enjoyment for me with this one.

I made this in honor of Psycho. It's a composite of different screen shots. Unfortunately there are no original pics that include the house and motel in such a full view way. But you got it now. Enjoy!

Your welcome. Adding the rain was a great idea not only does it bring the two shots together it also makes it look like a shot taken during the rainstorm in the first movie.

Thanks!
BTW i think I entered another zone in this franchise. I watched Part 1 4 times in 3 weeks and part 2-4 2 times each. I just can't stop feeling like I belong there.
