This needs a 0 option. By far the worst sequel ever. Period. You've obviously never seen the 4th one have you? Now that one deserves a 0. Or maybe eve a negative number. Damn did it suck.

Thanks a lot Jeremy for sharing the news about the new DVD. Personally a zero rating for this is a tad critical. Part 4 was the absolute worst of them to me. The only good thing about it was Matthew McConaughey starred in it.

I gave it four stars. Bill Moseley's performance as Chop Top is outstanding!

I rented it today. I give it 4/5. It's just a fun movie. They knew they could never match TCM 1 so they went in a comepletely new direction. I liked that they showed a them more as a family then just chainsaw weilding lunatics, and you've gotta love Chop Top The one thing i don't get is how Leatherface could possibley losa a chainsaw duel. He's been using the saw for 14+ years.

I always thought that more blood and guts should have spilled out when Leatherface was impaled by the chainaw.
EDIT AS OF JAN. 14/07
I bought the Gruesome Edition, so I now have two copies of the movie on DVD.

I ended up watching the Gruesome Edition last night and really enjoyed the special features. I regret only giving this movie a two before. I think its worthy of a 3 or 3 1/2. The whole underground thing really was awesome and the gore is actually better than I gave it credit for previously. I agree about the impaling Leatherface with the chainsaw could have looked way better though. Chop Top is really good in this film also so I'm finally willing to give him the credit he deserves. I guess I've just always compared him side to side with the Hitchhiker in the original and he is my fav character besides Leatherface. The humor is really funny also like when grandpa threw the hammer and it ended up hitting Leatherface. Cool close-ups of grandpa also. I've always liked Stretch's character whenever I watch this film as well. Another thing even though I know its going to happen it always scares the crap out of me when Leatherface appears out of nowhere in that record room revving that chainsaw up.

Over the top and cheesy are two words I'd use to describe this one, but I still love every minute of it! The Gruesome Edition DVD is awesome.

I gave this one a 3. It has been ages since I saw it but from what I remember of it it was only ok... Not great but not bad either.

It is a bit too campy at times. But it is fun to watch just for Bill Mosely and The Cook.

2.
This is a fairly entertaining sequel but not very good. It is kind of the "Freddy's Dead" of the Chainsaw series as it does not even try to make itse'f seriously and parodies itself.
