Two medical supply warehouse workers accidentally release a top secret chemical from the U.S. government that causes the dead to walk. Soon, the entire city is infested with zombies, who hunt down the living for their favorite food...human brains!
I hadn't seen this film in years when I watched it the other day...I'd forgotten what a truly great horror/comedy it is. Clu Gulager gives an entertaining performance (as always) as Burt, the owner of the medical supply warehouse and James Karen is absolutely hilarious as bumbling worker Frank. Also, look out for Thom Matthews (Friday the 13th Part VI) as Frank's co-worker Freddy. If you haven't seen this one yet, you're definitely in for a real treat!

I love this movie!
It has one of the best zombies ever in Tarman.

The second one, I have fond memories of, as I first saw it on TNT's MonsterVision.
This one I have not seen in a long time, but I'd love to see it again soon. I'm sure it's just as good.

It is a great movie. It's been many moons since I've seen it. Didn't it also have the guy who played Demon in it?

I didn't like the third one, that one just seemed kind of silly to me.

I like 1, can't stand 2, like 3 and have no urge to see the crappy Sci-fi sequals.

Return Of The Living Dead is classic!
Must have watched it over a hundred times. Great movie. Killer soundtrack - the Cramps, 45 Grave, TSOL.

Just saw it last night for the first time. At first I was like "this SUCKS!" but as I got into it and started to "get it" I liked it even more. Some funny moments throughout, most of which included bad acting and Police Squad! kind of humor in a way. Some good deadpanning and funny dry quotes. I liked that army dude they called at the end. "lamb chops....I had those for lunch." Funny stuff. Thom Matthews went berserk in this thing. It's a wonder he was slated for more horror films.
