I've only seen the first one so I can't really vote. The first one is a favorite of mine and I've been meaning to watch the other 2 for years. Might have to pick up the boxset from deepdiscount.com and sell my copy of Sleepaway Camp to Cheap Thrills.

I also have the original boxset that was recalled, and the legacy copies of each. I beleive that part 2 was trimmed in the Legacy copies, and part one was a bit extended, like during the nude scene with the dudes on the dock, and maybe a place or more, I can't remember. Sleepaway Camp is a great film trilogy.

Well, I've now seen the other two movies and while I do enjoy them, the first is still my favorite. thefinalchapter has it right, Sleepaway Camp is a great trilogy. The films just have that fun 80's feel to them and everybody knows how much I like 80's horror.

IMO The first Sleepaway Camp is a classic. Parts 2 & 3 are guilty pleasures. I would have to say part one is the best as far as being a horror classic but, I voted for part 2 because I just like that one personally the best.
I have VHS of all three. I hope to get that DVD boxset. Maybe even try to track down the avalible 20 min. or so of part 4 : Survivor someday.

Parts 2 & 3 are guilty pleasures. Well said count! Thats exactly how i see part 2 and 3. I actually grew up watching part 1 and 2,and i remember always having a crush on Pamela Springsteen when i was a kid.
I guess thats why i love part 2 so much.

I'm pissed off, but when (or if) 'Return' is ever released, I'll be the first in line to buy it. I love the Sleepaway Camp movies.

Odd no one voted for Part3 but they did for Part 2. I always thought Part 3 was better than 2

I don't know about that. Part III has always been good, but far inferior than Parts 1 and 2. Directly comparing II and III, to me, II had better characters, better kills, better images, and better comedy. Sleepaway Camp II is one of those sequels that can easily contend for best sequel ever....while Part III is simply more of the same, thus making it less memorable.

I liked Pamela's hair in both sequels.

Sleepaway Camp 2 is a brilliant masterpiece that excedes both its prequel and it's sequel.
The first one is great too. But part 2 is super special. It just rocks!!
