One of if not the best reveal of any horror movie ever made.

i havent seen them after number 2,the first 2 where cool,an that girl havin a penis at the end of 1 still scares me to this day ;D If you liked the second one, you'll like the third one as well as they contain a little more comedy. The first and fourth ones are a little more serious.

I'm glad the new one follows more along the lines of the first, a little comedic horror tends to go a long way with me and I usually end up irritated by it.

I had the very unfortunate experience of watching Return to Sleepaway Camp this weekend.
Those of you who know me well enough know that I could write a lengthy (and scathing in this case) review of the film. I’m not going to do that because I know that there are people on this board (who I like and respect) who genuinely appreciate this entry in the series.
I will say however that I thought this movie was horrendous from start to finish. Just absolutely terrible and SO completely in-cohesive. While it was nice to see some of the original players return, I found the movie an epic failure on all fronts: acting, direction, setting, kills, effects, writing, & character development.
Besides the fact that the original director and few of the original actors came back for Part 4, in NO way, shape, or form was this movie anything along the lines of the first film. The only resemblance was a kill in the kitchen that horribly mimicked the kichen kill in Part 1 - and the last 2 seconds of the film resembling the classic shot at the end of Part 1. This film is not serious in ANY way. It actually falls more in line with Part 2 & 3 in terms of it's attempted humor except I found nothing funny or enjoyable about the jokes (or even the kills) they tried to produce.
For me, the fact that I was unable to like this sequel truly sucks- because I desperately wanted to enjoy the film. If you have the time to kill- I’d encourage y’all to watch and judge for yourself. As for me – there will never be a repeat viewing of this movie. I’ll stick with the first 3 – in particular 1 & 2.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it. I found it much more enjoyable than Part 2 or 3. Oh well different strokes.

That's Okay Kyle. I'm glad I gave it a chance at least.
I've sat through worse.... ;-)

I watched it the day it came out. Nov 4th. Here's my review.
The first time I saw it I thought it was really good! The only part that dragged were the penis kill and the girl driving into barbwire kill wich were in the same place unfortunately. So it really grinded to a hault for about 10 mins. Other than that I was really into everything i saw. I thought the girls were so hot! Especially the main blonde! WOW!
I loved all the kills! I thought Ricky's part was lame. I thought it was nice to hear Ronnies voice again. I loved the new camp ownwer, he did good. The rest of the cast were so so. I LOVED the ending!
I watched it again 2 days later and although it was still good it was great anymore. Maybe I watched it too close together, Im not sure. Maybe after the wow of finally getting to see it wore off I saw it for just being a movie. For me it went from a 8 at first viewing to a 6. Still a good movie and just as good as Part 2 and better then 3 to me.

I loved the kills in this movie. That bed kill was very cool. I still like this more than 2. But it's close. And both beat the Hel out of part 3.

I think it's about on par with 2 and 3, maybe a bit better. I'm a big fan of all the Sleepaway Camp movies though.

I think some of you have been sniffing to much paint!
It's Ok - I still love you guys - even if you like this absurdly retarded sequel!

I think I liked it because they brought back the original Angela. I never cared for Springsteen.

It has been completely bashed by the audience it was aimed at.
I haven't seen it yet, but the trailer looked like it was shot for the cost of a happy meal. ;D

I can't believe the negativity. Anything would have been better than the 3rd one. That was nothing but pun, bad kil , pun, bad kill.

The kills were great. Seeing the original Angela and some of the original actors back was great. And it was nice to see the story focus on someone else for a change of pace. As for the quality of filming. I liked that. It felt more like a low budget 80's film.

I have only seen the first one so far. It was very good and I highly recommend it. Even if it's just for the ending itself. Goes down as a shocker ending to me. I heard the sequels get progressively bad. I have not heard much about the one that came out recently by the original director who "made a sequel after the first" and ignored the others though.

I think the first one if definitely the best, but the sequels are fun in there own way too. Just don't take them seriously.
