I give this a solid 3 out of 5 ranking. Nice cast, good feeling throughout, scary, I just thought they could have done more gimmicks with the funhouse with mirrors and teases and stuff like that. But I like this film.

The monster/gypsy masturbation scene was funny.

Especially since it lasts all of 10 seconds. ;D
But all in all its a great little fick from the heyday of these types of films and one of me faves.

That's right star! 10 second monster.. #a2gjzl#
One of my fav 80's horror movies too. Its too bad this movie will be receiving the re-make treatment pretty soon.

Another great 80's slasher, The Funhouse was directed by Tobe Hooper and it's great special effects are courtesy of the legendary Rick Baker.

Back when this movie was released I watched it and did not like it, but in recent years I have watched it again and agree that it has a "great spooky atmosphere."

I hope they show it on Monsterfest this year (or I guess it's Fearfest now).

I saw this movie a few nights ago and never heard of it until recently. Pretty good and not very well know. And yes sadly its fixing to be given the remake treatment.

Yep that was the opening sequence and I thought I had accidently turned on the Halloween 1978 when the opening started up. I was like mask and thing in hand walking toward somebody with eerie music. Halloween! But the movie was fiendishly different and unique so its a win!
