I love this movie too. It sure does have some bizarre and surreal imagery.My current signature is from this movie (Altered States).

I've never actuallly seen this one myself, I've heard alot of great things about it but I just never got around to it.

I forget what the name of the one guy was but he played one of the patrol officers in Hill Street Blues, the guy with the red hair. He has one of the scenes in the entire movie where he does off. That's Charles Haid, who played Renko on Hill Street Blues. He's always been one of my favorite actors. Shame you don't see him in more acting roles these days, he seems to be concentrating more on directing

One of the very few movies that actually scared me the first time I watched it. Of course I was about 6 or 7 and all the weird imagery really freaked me out. I was hiding under the covers on the couch. ;D I saw it again about 2 years ago. Didn't scare me but I can see why it did when I was little.
