There has been so many movies about aliens and the movie Alien was the best so far. The look of the alien just kicked ass. I love how their blood is acid. I loved Aliens the most due to the big army of aliens and of course the queen. Post here comments on the 4 movie saga.

I didn't like Resurrection, that kind of destroyed the character of Ripley for me. I found the whole "mother" thing to be stupid, I was embarassed to look at the screen.
I enjoyed the trilogy, I have a special place for Alien 3. It seems to get the harshest reviews out of the three, but I liked the whole relationship between the inmates and such.
The first and second are great, with the second one being more action-packed. I saw 3 before I saw 2, so I didn't really have any attatchment when Hicks didn't make it for the third film, but upon seeing the second, that all changed and it is the only real gripe I have with the third film.

Cool man. The alien changed in 3 and I thought the ending rocked of that one.

I like the first three, but I don't like Resurrection that much.

I'd have to agree with the above statements; Alien-Alien3 was good...but Alien: Resurrection (the most overused subtitle in movie history) could've been a lot better.

I liked the first two, after that I kinda lost interest.

The first 2 were the best. 3 was pretty good but I was upset about the kid not making it. And I guess I'm weird but I enjoyed 4. Yeah the baby part was crap but Sigourney made it enjoyable.

She was good in it, similar to how Donald Pleasance was good in Halloween 5.
By that, I mean that she shined in an otherwise dreadful movie.

Yeah Weaver was great in Aliens though. She looked like she was born with a gun, lol

That's a great way of explaining it Jeremy. She kind of shined in the movie. Everything else about it just made her look that much better.

I like the mystery of the first film. You don't really know anything about the creature(s). It was expanded in Aliens, with the introduction of the queen... but i never really understood how Ripley asks "Who's laying these eggs?" when it was established in the 1st film, that Kane saw "thousands of eggs there... thousands!" That kind of bugged me a bit.

Well she hadn't seen the Queen yet. Though I think her question was more along the lines of if this is what the regulars look like then "Whose laying these eggs?" It is kind of a scary thought.

Right. She had no idea there was a queen until later on.

But, if she knew Kane had seen thousands of eggs in the first film, why would she even begin to consider the possibility of 'anything' laying eggs now? Even when there are in fact only a few hundred colonists there in the first place!?

She knew something was laying them but she probably though it was a plain warrior. Think about it.

In the first movie they didn't know how long those eggs had been there. Maybe she knew the colonists hadn't seen eggs while settling it. So unlike the first movie she knew something was obviously there laying them.

Well, the only other possibility i can think of is that the very first colonist (Newts father!) to be taken, actually gave birth to a queen. That might explain why the alien warriors in "Aliens" differ in appearance from the rest of the series. The remaining eggs may still be sitting in the derelict spacecraft.

That is actually a very good theory. And probably true. Queens are born the same way. So it only makes sense that's where she came from.

But what happened to the first queen? Could she have died or maybe still have been in that ship which was the place in Aliens. So the queen just moved from place to place.

You know in one of the book series they have out there is a theory that there is an Alien home planet where there is an actual Ultimate Queen. Kind of the head of the species. And the way the Aliens have gotten spread out is other space faring societies get infected and take them with them. As for the Queen who laid all the eggs in Alien who knows what happened to her. Those eggs were obviously in some sort of stasis. Maybe a Queen was in Stasis there too. Or the Queen had been killed when the eggs had been taken.
