GRINDHOUSE RELEASING is proud to present the first official US DVD release of the sickest and most violent of all the early '80s slasher movies. A psychopathic killer stalks a Boston campus, brutally slaughtering nubile young college co-eds, collecting body parts from each victim to create the likeness of his mother who he savagely murdered with an axe when he was ten years old! PIECES is a wild, unrated gorefest, with enough splatter and sleaze to shock the most jaded horror fan. Pieces is right up there in my top 10 favorite horror films of all time.I'm glad they finally decided to officially release this classic on dvd here in the us,the Atlantis dvd release of it was just plain horrible.
Pieces is a classic,no doubt about it.GrindHouse Releasing did a fantastic job. Thankyou Grindhouse.

Very cool concept for a film. Damn I wish I could afford the DVD rental program I was on. Well maybe some day. I have about 200 movies I want to see and the list just keeps getting longer. LOL

I love this movie, I actually got it on DVD in a collection I bought a few years back called "Kiss of Death".

I've had the Atlantis DVD for years now. I usually don't like to double dip, but I like Pieces so much I'll definitely be picking this up.

True, it has more of a cult movie feel to me and those type of films tend to alienate parts of the audience.

Slashers, especially one's from the 80's, are my favorite horror sub-genre. I'm sure that's news to everybody. ;D

I bought this and the treatment the film got was very impressive.
The anamorphic widescreen transfer does the film justice and it is finally uncut.

The cameo by the "bad chop suey" guy makes no sense in the context of the rest of the film, but that just make the movie even better.

Grindhouse Releasing really did a great job cleaning up all the scratches and lines left over from the Atlantis release. I applaud Grindhouse releasing, they seem to really care about us fans.

It sure beats the grainy fullscreen version St. Clair released with their Cult Horror set.
