The Tribe is not as bad as Resurrection and zombieween, but i guess its just a let down because i love the original so much.
Plus the original film took place in the 80's,a time i consider to be "The best decade ever".

I thought The Thirst was a pretty good movie. I wish Alan Frog was in more of it though and I thought the Corey Haim flashbacks were a nice touch.

The Thirst was better than The Tribe, although I loved that one too

I just found The Thirst at Walmart, the other night after work! Didn't even knew it was comin' out, or made! ;D Yeah, I loved both the original and Tribe! Poor, Corey Haim! Why did he have to go? Actually I saw the Tribe for the first time a couple of months ago and the endings with him and Feldman, are kind of sad! It's like their saying their final goodbyes!

Yea dude, well i finished 2 last night and it was good. I saw the thread about this movie when it was still not a trilogy. It seems no one liked it. Oh well... chalk it up to another movie that I love and no one else even likes. That's the beauty of it all though. No one else HAS to love anything in order for you to enjoy it. In the end, all alone is all we are.
Here is a very accurate review of Lost Boys 2

I definitely think it gets way too much praise. It's a good movie and really great visuals. Not much gore at all though... which was odd. Definitely gets talked about like its way better than it is.

I've never been a vampire movie fan except for a few exceptions. I love the music and the feel of this movie its just so 80s to me.

I think the main problem with Lost Boys 2 in my most honest opinion is that they had a great idea but just fell short through poor execution. Most of the scenes in the film were remade from the original lost Boys. For example the dirt bike/motorcycle scene, the whole Angus Sutherland let me show you/you have to see what we are scene, the ridiculous sex scene with Angus Sutherland and the dudes sister (totally copying the exact same scene from the original even the music) and the Deer antler impalement scene. Not sure if they wanted to just pay homage or remake the original Lost Boys movie altogether. The tribe outside the lost Boys franchise could more or less stand on its own,but for me its not really a sequel to the original Lost Boys its more of a remake or re imaging of the original Lost Boys. When i first saw the tribe,i had the same sick feeling in my stomach when i first saw the Psycho 1998 remake.I had to ask myself, whats the point in copying another films scenes? Why not go a different direction? Or at least continue the story from the first film.I guess thats why i never really cared about the tribe, but all that aside, the film is more enjoyable if you just treat it like any other vampire film and not a lost boys movie. The thirst on the other hand feels more of a sequel to the original film.Bringing back Alan Frog and of course the great flash back scenes from the first Lost Boys with Corey Haim. All in all,i just watch the thirst and the original lost boys for story continuation and i just treat the tribe like a stand alone remake of the original set in modern times.
Lost Boys/The thirst-9.5
The tribe-6.0

I guess all of that is true but I am not the biggest LB fan to begin with. I think it's a good movie. But not amazing like everyone else does. I think it has a lot of the same plot points but no more than the way PSYCHO 3 connects to PSYCHO 1. Psycho 3 can be talked about the same way youre talking about LB2Tribe.
However in my opinion I enjoy Psycho 3 and LB2 more than the originals. I'm not saying they are better or better made. It's just more my style and what I like to watch compared to the originals.
So it all comes down to preference I suppose.

You're right D.Its all about how we feel when we watch any movie. Believe me there are some horror movies out there i love some people hate..lol.But if every body liked the same things, this whole world would be one boring place to live in.There just wouldn't be anything left to talk about after a while if everybody loved the same movies. I'm still waiting for somebody to release Psycho 3 and 2 (maybe even 4) on Blu-ray.Loved Psycho 3,I'm kinda tired of the dvd versions now though, wanna see them in HD.
