I like dtheir motive. It was kinda like Billy and Stu. To be honest I think this is the best Scream. Ghostface was a violent violent VIOLENT person here ( even stabbing someone in the head...owie) and the killers were surprising and VERY disturbed. ( SPOILERS STOP READING IF YOU DON'T WNAT TO KNOW WHO DIES AND WHO GHOSTFACE IS) I was impressed that how many people died. I ahd heard that this was going to be the start ofa new trilogy. Yet all the new characters die. Emma Roberts and Rory Culkin were VERY good as the killers and they were convicining psychopaths. It made sense for Charlie to be Ghostface because Kirby ( Hayden Panneteries Character) ignored him for so many years, that could drive someone insane. and Jill's motive was simple. She was basiclaly outcasted for ebing relate dto Sidney and she wanted her to die out of jealously. That jealously turne dinto hatred ad later psychosis. These are kids and the fact that they were disturbed as fuck creeped me out. I really liked this flick, btw love the Saw 4 joke. XD

I LOVED Scream 4! It was great! There was a line or 2 of comedy that was lame and almost took you out of the movie but the next scene brought you right back in. "Fuck Bruce Willis" I doubt anyone woulda said that at THAT time....
Also the use of the word fuck was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY over done. They musta said it like 50 times. I brought my parents and nieces to watch with us, so that made it very uncomfortable.
Other than those 2 complaints I thought it was awesome! Had a great feel to it and Sheriff Duey and Gail had just enough of a part but not too much. Same with C. Cox. It was just really good stuff. A great ending!

It sure was a let down at the box office, making $19 million, while Rio was the clear leader with $39 million. I had pegged it to open much bigger.
I remember reading that the success of it would have an impact on H3D happening sooner then later, so make your own conclusions.

Personally. I loved Scream 4 and i'm surprised it's not doing well because there were quite a few people there at the theatre when I saw it.

The Easter curse. The damn Weinsteins did with Grindhouse in 2007. You do NOT release non family or non kid friendly movies in the vincinity of Easter! Slither bombed when that was done. Grindhouse bombed when that was done and now Scream 4 is not doing what it was suppose to at the Box office while "kid friendly" Rio is. This should have been done in February or waited until May.

Rio is also a 3D movie, so Scream never had a chance. The Weinstein's released Halloween II opposite The Final Destination (in 3D) and it placed third behind that and their own Inglorious Basterds. Why they dared to take on another horror franchise on the same weekend is beyond me.

Went to see Scream 4 this morning and I must say I was impressed, it was alot better than I expected. The kills were definetly amped up for this one and I loved how the whole movie kind of poked fun at all the remakes that are being made in horror. One of the best lines was at the end about when it comes to remakes don't f*** with the original, too bad most of the remakes we've gotten altely have ignored this fact.

I'm fine without a 5th one. This one stands on it's own just fine.

Grindhouse was a box office bomb because they put it on Easter area oddly by the Weinsteins. It went on to spawn Machete and possibly a sequel. Recently spawned Hobo with a Shotgun and maybe even Thanksgiving

They really don't. Even though this movie wasn't Weinteins you'd think msot would learn from this. Slither made 7 million at the box office oh yeah. It was released the first week in April and Easter that year was the 16th so it was in the 4 week vicnity of Easter and bombed big time. The Weinsteins released Grindhouse April 6th and it bombed coming in at third place and only made 25 million at the box office with a budget of 53 million and even with worldwide figured in only made 50. Easter that year was April 8th so so oh yeah LITERALLy easter weekend! There next big project is Hellraiser remake. I think a good Christmas release date would be good don't you? >_> Don't put it past Bob and Harvey Weintein! And now Scream 4 released in a one week vicinity of Easter and is underperforming and is now 5th place in total sales. Rio is doing better and oddly what its making is what Scream 4 should have made >_> Scream 4 should have been released either Valentines Day area (couples love a good scare to jump their bones) or maybe May or June but not April. I'll have to check out the older movies soon. Not like I don't seee the Scream trilogy in excess in my random thrift store runs. I could find all three for probably 3 dollars total

I finally saw 4 last night and I was very surprised at how much I liked it. Gotta agree, the "don't fuck with the original" line warmed my heart. I'm not the biggest Scream fan, but I've warmed back up to the first after loving it back in the day when I first saw it upon release at 11, but ignoring it when I got older. I've revisited it twice in the past year or so and I'm as fond of it as anyone else and something about Scream 4 makes me even more fond of it.
I'm pretty surprised at how poorly its done and I feel bad for it in a way...at least as bad as I can for a big studio project. I think this movie above all other horror films released in the past 10 years has made me feel like an old man. It was a different world when the first Scream was released and I don't think the younger generation (in general) cares about Scream at all or if they went, they didn't connect with it much and maybe didn't really know the older characters. Which makes me pleased that they turned the finger on the younger cast in this film and kept the original three alive.
So, I picked 1 and 4 for the poll choices. 1 is around a 9-9.5 and I'd give 4 an 8.
