It's funny you mention this. If I'm such a huge fan of something (these 3 series, for example), I'll get my fill and watch the series, and hold off watching them all for a LONG time until I just can't take it anymore. It's been well over a year since I've watched all the Friday films and I feel it's long past due to watch them all again. I don't think I'll ever get sick of them, because I just won't let myself do it.

I wouldn't say I'm tired of them. I definitely don't watch them as often as I used to though. But I guess when you watch something as much as I've watched the Friday franchise you are bound to slow down. It's rare I'll watch anything past the first 2. Those 2 though I still watch about 4-6 times a year. the rest at least once a year. I think the only reason I watched them all in a row as often as I did is them coming out as a box set. That made them feel "special" I guess. So I went through a good year long period where I was marathoning them once or twice a month. After that I slowed way down. Never watched them that frequently again. I never marathoned Halloween. Since I only really love parts 1 and 3. Same goes with Nightmare. Only love 1 and especially 2. I would love it if there was a franchise I could get into as much as I did Friday the 13th. The only one that ever came close was TCM. In fact I probably watch those more often than Friday the 13th now. But I haven't watched them as much so they still feel fresh I guess. The only franchise in recent time I got into was Saw. And those petered out pretty quickly. I don't think we'll ever see another decade for horror like the 80's again. Where new and exciting franchises were happening all the time.

I don't think I could ever get tired of the big three. I can't imagine how many times I've watched these films, but they just never seem to grow old to me. I agree with you Kyle, there will never be another decade for horror like the 80's, especially for the birth of horror franchises. I do enjoy two modern franchises though, the Hatchet films and Laid to Rest. Of course they don't hold a candle to the big 3 though.

Never heard of Laid to Rest. But I've kind of been out of the loop on horror for the last 2-3 years. I did love the first Hatchet. Was kind of let down by 2 but I still enjoyed it. Have high hopes for 3. If I could go back in time to the 80's I would. Such a great decade.

I haven't watched "that" much in a while. Been busy trying to old older movies I have yet to see and many hardly know.

I getting tired of them all,I would really like to see some of the underrated slashers from the 80s and 70s get some good sequels and really start up some of the series and bring some of the killers up with the big boys. One movie that comes to mind is My Bloody Valentine the ending is great sequel material and really could set up a good movie and overall I think The Miner/Harry Warden deserves to be up there with the big boys like Jason, Michael, Leather ect.. just my thought

I hear ya, I'm glad I knew not to kill Sleepaway Camp, PSYCHO, Lost Boys, TCM and Ghoulies movies. I really like those franchises and I barely watch them. That way they stay fresh.
I am doing a Sleepaway Camp Retrospective Special on the show next week if anyone wants to hear it. I will post it here for sure. So I watched those for it. I always watch those once in the summer.

Sleepaway Camp is a phenomenal series. Am I the only one who loved Return, though? : p

That movie was so ridiculously lame and cheesy, that I loved it to death. : p
The kills were very original. You don't see many like those in movies.

If that was the one where the original Angela returned then no you aren't alone.

It had original kills and the original Angela back. I hated when she was replaced. I'll admit it's no prize winner. But having my preferred Angela back was pretty cool to me.

I liked it too. I'm just a huge Sleepaway Camp fan in general. They are great to watch every summer Demon. Really looking forward to that on your show.

I wouldn't say I'm tired of them. I have a lot of other movies to watch besides them so it helps. I doubt I've even seen the original TCM more than ten times. I would love to see another My Bloody Valentine movie. I'm still a big fan of Jeepers Creepers as well.

I liked Return too. Had a great 80s feel with very original non CGI'ed kills. Wasn't some Oscar piece but when are any of these horror movies ever? I haven't watched the Big 3 in a while. Been pre-occupied with watching older movies I never got to see when I wasn't born yet

I am only really tired of Halloween at the moment. Out of them all I would love to see Wes Craven go back to do a proper Elm Street film with Robert Englund. But, that will never happen now

I'm burned out on Halloween and TCM, but Friday the 13th I'm starting to get back into.
