This is indeed a remake of the mid 80s classic vampire movie (which spawned one sequel in the late 80s which is rare and I love it too) The first review of this movie is in and its not a positive review. Help us God First Review of Test ScreeningThey said that Peter Vincent (who was once played by Roddy McDowell) is a womanizer and an alcoholic Peter Vincent in the original movies: To . .. This in this movie . . .

I didn't read the review, that new picture the Peter Vincent character is shows more than enough to information to keep me from needing to read it. That's nothing like the original, it looks like yet another pretty vampire movie, along the lines of Twilight in appearance.

Horror hosts aren't relevant now, so I can understand them updating the character to a flashy Vegas magician, especially since the movie is set there.

This movie hurts and I never saw the original either!

So they can cash in on people who love the original going to see it just because of it being labeled a remake. Yet another money making idea.

The Dawn Of The Dead remake only has zombies and a mall in common with the original.
I am very interested in the cast, as David Tennant was in Doctor Who, Anton Yelchin was in Star Trek '09 and Colin Farrell speaks for himself.

You really do live under a rock. Doctor Who is only the longest running sci-fi show ever, Colin Farrell is world famous and basically everyone knows what Star Trek is, especially the critically acclaimed blockbuster reboot. It isn't healthy to be that isolated from society.

No interest at all in seeing this.

The one thing I don't like is the mention of a bad 3D conversion.

The only thing that remotely interested me in this was the fact that one of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Executive producers Marti Noxon I believe wrote the script. The actors I could care less about and they seemingly have destroyed Peter Vincent's character which is a HUGE negative!

Collin Farell is the man.

It reminds me of Bill Cosby telling people not to see Leonard part 6 and Eddie Murphy bashing Pluto Nash.

There's some remakes I'll never see and this is one of them,

Don't think I'll see this either, unless it should suddenly get grat reviews. I don't think I've ever seen a single Colin Farell movie myself, or Will Farrel for that matter lol.

And apparently everybody felt the same way as Chainsaw.
This movie was a massive box office flop. The Curse of people thinking Colin Ferrell is a star strikes again. The more flops the better. Discourages remakes.

To be fair though, all of the new releases were flops. Conan is set to lose money big time.

In all fairness, movies like Machete grossed 14 million in its weekend and this one SO FAR days after the weekend only has 11 million. It had a 30 million budget. I don't see it domestically reaching that benchmark. Usually producers feel good if they can at least reach the budget made.
Goes to show many are tired of remakes and this movie had 3D prices so this means even less showed up.
