The only thing I liked from the Next Generation was Matthew Mcconaughey. I really don't mind seeing another Leatherface movie. As long as he's not from outerspace or something its all good.

I would rather become a victim of Leatherface than to ever see that movie. It's bad enough I saw The Next Generation and The Remake but this....this is just....my God.

Infact I would rather be Ed Gein's victim than watch that travesty.

Yeah, I heard about this a little while ago, and it's just more humorous than anything. I've been on the indifferent approach to remakes for a few years now, after intense hatred, and it's just hilarious that stuff that is only a few years old is getting remade....or the new favorite term, rebooted. Kind of like Spider-Man, which is probably the strangest one of all.

I don't hate it, but it lacks everything that made the original so effective. The gritty documentary style feel is replaced by PD's trademark gloss and realistic characters are set aside for pretty Hollywood actors.

I loved the remake and prequel. They weren't a pimple on the ass of the original or Part 2. But way better than Part 3 and 4 IMHO. This new one sounds like it's going to be fun. Having so many of the people I loved back in cameo's and even getting the original Grandpa John Dugan back to reprise that role makes me feel they are really trying to make a good TCM again. I'm looking forward to it quite a bit. The fact Gunnar Hansen is willing to participate is a good sign too. He's turned down every previous film that was offered to him. The guy playing the new/old LF Dan Yeager has a FB page and is really a great guy who respects Hansen and said he played the part greatly influenced by that portrayal. I'm giving the film a shot. If I'm let down it won't be the first time. ;D

I'm so out of the loop these days. I just thought there was discussion about making this movie. I didn't know it was coming out next year! Definitely something to look forward to!
