Okay who has followed the Return of the Living Dead film series?
I have all of them but only watched 1,2 and some of 5. Anyone see these? If so what are your thoughts? How do you rank them in order?

I'm kind of upset how quickly they went down in quality. The first one is my favorite zombie film of all time. 2 was decent but it almost felt like a remake of the first. 3 wasn't even that good. 4 and 5 are just terrible.

The first one is the best by far. I didn't like the second one a while back, but have warmed up to it. The third one mixes a love story and gore rather well. Considering that the next two were SyFy originals, I am not in any rush to see them.

I love Part 1, I haven't seen the rest but I might consider watching them sometime 3, 4 and 5 I have a bad feeling about.

I think the later ones are still worth at least one watch. Part 3 isn't terrible truthfully.
None are even close to as good as the first. That movie is a classic.

I really love the orignal, somtimes the right mood just strikes me and I haveta pop it in.
I saw part II one time and it was good, a bit confusing having the same actors but it was a decent view. I kind of lost faith after part 3 was released though.

I own the second one with that stunning cover art on VHS. I quite liked it really. Has a mix of humor and gore. I haven't seen any of the others sadly to say.

Part III is a lot better than I remember it being. It's still not even close to as good as the original. But it's better than Part 2 for sure.
Isn't it weird how re-watching a film at a different point in your life can change your opinion?

One of the best collection I'm proud to own. This is a MUST have collection for die hard dead fans.
Ranked in-order exactly how you got it set up Alex. I probably saw 4 & 5 only twice, was not too into it as I, II & III. The first three is just pure classics, just can't be topped.

I've seen Part II the most, thanks to TNT's MonsterVision. Part I is good too, and I saw III many years ago when we owned a black box (anyone remember those?), and it was okay.
Never seen all of IV or V, just bits and pieces, but they didn't seem all that great. Though Tar Man makes a return, so that nominally saves the films I think. Maybe I'll have to sit down and watch them, but it is gonna be kind of hard, lol.
For me, the order goes: Part II (nostalgia tips it here), Part I (the better film, but I have more fun with II), Part III. I can't rightfully rank the others ones due to not seeing them fully.

I finally watched Part 4 and 5 all the way through. They aren't "bad".... they just arent very good. They have halfway decent plot. They have some cool kills n stuff. I dont think I will watch them again or anything. I rate 4 a 5/10 and 5 a 5.5/10 at least 5 has a lot of hot naked girls and someone who is sorta supposed to be tar man. Although he doesnt walk like him at all....
They kept some of the same characters through both films. Part 4 ending on a super depressing note... Bad things happen to the main character the entire movie. Then someone close to him dies in the last 10 mins and again in the last 2 mins... Just a really odd note to leave off on. Then in Part 5 someone close to him dies in the first 10 mins.... it's like wow... dont go near me...

I saw a scene where "Tarman" is hitchhiking along a road on Youtube once. I agree that it wasn't the same.
