Anyone play any of the GTA games, and if so which is your favorite?

I've played them all since 3. I think I tried the first 2 a few times but never owned them.
San Andreas was by far the best IMO. HUGE map that included three cities, tons of countryside and small towns, mountains, a desert etc. The story was also great and there was a lot of customization. You could fully customize your car, buy tons of properties, change your clothes (with tons of options, way more than GTA 4), change your hair and facial hair, get tattoos, gain or lose weight and build muscle. It's such a great game I replay it once a year.
GTA 4 was ok, but they took so much of the cool stuff from San Andreas out that I didn't enjoy it as much even if the graphics were better. I have high hopes for the new one because Red Dead Redemption was amazing.

Yeah. There were supposed to be planes and stuff but they took it out because of 911.

GTA series brings back memories, back in the days. I hardly get to play. But my cousin who is 12 is all over that everyday....all day long. I really did enjoyed them. As CT says "San Andreas was by far the best IMO" and I have to agree with you. There was so much aspect to San Andreas just blow your mind to think about how this can get any better.
"Yeah. There were supposed to be planes and stuff but they took it out because of 911." would of been sweet, but it is what it is.

There was also a cut multiplayer option from GTA 3. Though, my favorite was Vice City. No idea why, but there's just something about it.

I barely played 3, so what I remember is limited. But I did get to play Vice City and San Andreas, the former more so than the latter. And I enjoyed the games - for a while.
The missions were decent, but they tended to be the same thing a lot of the time. Primarily though, I'd hijack some vehicles, cause some trouble, and see how long I could endure a barrage from the police and army. That to me was the most fun part of the game, but it does get tiresome. However - and I find this the case with wrestling games too - put it on the shelf for a while, and it'll become fun all over again.
Vice City I like due to all the 80s and Scarface references. But San Andreas was, by far, my favorite. Big maps, lot of vehicles, and a great community that would point out or modify things for the games, which really added to it. Also, I liked the soundtrack for the most part, but that may have to do with my liking of 80s-90s rap, particularly N.W.A., Bone Thugs 'N Harmony, and whatnot.
I've yet to play the new one, but that may have to do with the fact I've never been a hardcore Grand Theft Auto player. However, I do respect the games for what they bring, and what they have brought to the gaming table.
