When most people talk about The Exorcist they only talk about the first one. But I believe the 3rd (Which is also based on the book) is extremely underrated. While it wasn't as scary or shocking as the first, it still had a great story about a man that is truly going through hell. What does everyone else think of this film?

I think it's vastly underrated. Not as good as the original of course. But like you said it is based on a book. It's vastly superior to the horrible Part 2. That was a train wreck of a film. The story was good and had wonderful performances by George C. Scott and Brad Dourif.

Brad Dourif and George C. Scott are the main reasons i enjoyed this film.Brad really out did himself with the Gemini killer character.I still chuckle at the George C Scott scene where he talks about that fish in the tub.Great actor,R.I.P.

I've always thought this is one of the most underrated horror films ever. I'm a big fan of Scott and Dourif, they're two of my favorite actors. And you want to talk about scary, that hallway scene...if you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about.

I need to see this. I watched the original directors cut in theaters two years ago. Great stuff. The sequel I watched on TV a few months ago along with the Nostolgia critics review. Was choppy silly mess of a movie. It had ZERO idea of what it wanted to do so I hope the third is better!

It's much better. It should have been the sequel.
