They should have stopped with part 2. Even that was quite a step down in quality.

I actually enjoyed all these lol I have all 4 on Bluray. I will be getting this piece of shit too. Even though it looks like a make-up and CGI mess it looks fun.

They need to stop making these movies.

I say keep making them. They are fun to watch and I like them all. Look forward to seeing this one.

That is all they do now, with actors who couldn't act their way out of a cardboard box. What is fun about seeing a well made and acted film like the original turned into DTV trash?

In all fairness this looks like its going to fall under that category more than the last 3. The actors were ok in all the sequels and I dont recall the effects being too bad. Even if this is the first drop in quality with writing, acting and cgi... I still think they should keep it going and bounce back with a better one.

I am sure that you know this, but you are in a small minority with your views of the sequels. A lot of people feel that the "franchise" has already sunk to that low and this latest entry is just making things worse. When the budget keeps on shrinking, there is very little chance of a bounce back entry.

But I have a better read on what's good and what isn't than most people. So I am content with what the masses think. They were all solid movies that dont get enough credit.
They are not being seen for what they are... good fun. There are SO MANY movies that came out in the years those did that are far worse in quality and people praise them. So I'm not worried about what the masses think. I lead my own way in life.

I don't care about being in the minority, budget, CGI, etc. If people don't like these movies that's their problem not mine.

No offense, but that kind of gives you a superiority complex similar to the same movie critics that you would denounce for not liking what you do. There is no shame in admitting that you like a lot of "so bad it's good" movies.

Dude I make good points in why I love or bash a film. I cant help it that I am able to dissect and break logic down really well. Its not a complex, its just what I do. Most people agree with most of my calls on horror movies good or bad. Kyle has the same deal about him. Its just in you or its not. The masses and numbers mean nothing.... Thats for sheep and sell outs.

Numbers are very important and so is marketing. You can't just deny the business side of filmmaking. After all, this isn't a non-profit industry we are talking about.

Yea but the point of your statements is that my opinion is invalid because I am supposedly a minority. Thats why I made that exaggerated arrogant post about having the most accurate opinions. I was just f-ing with you. But the fact is THEY ARE WRONG TURN SEQUELS! The first one wasnt even a masterpiece. How good were you expecting a sequel to a decent horror movie to be? To be considered bad or unwatchable they would have to be as bad as Freddys Dead or Halloween 5. All 3 WT sequels blow those two movies away. I could make a lot more examples but I dont wanna list off obscure movies. I just think you take majority opinion too seriously in your life. Youre alot older now and have been in the horror game for quite some time. I think its time to start thinking for yourself and not run off "facts" or "majority opinions". Everyone here alreAdy knows all the facts and statistics and majority opinions. This is a forum where we express our own. We are here to contribute to those majority or minorities. Not to regurgitate it.

I like films like Halloween 3, Nightmare 2, Friday 5 etc. Does that mean I am wrong because I like them and the majority doesn't? Who cares what the majority thinks. The majority these days would rather see another Paranormal Activity/ SAW clone. People like us, just wanna watch a good, fun movie. There is nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, I was thinking last night and I don't recall Wrong Turn being a fabulous movie so I don't think the sequels would have a lot to live up to. I don't like every horror movie that comes out. Some that I didn't care for would be My Soul To Take, Devil Inside, Hatchet 2, Buried Alive ( starring Tobin Bell). If people do like them that's fine I won't think any less of you.

Couldnt agree more with Stinger and Leather! Great points guys. Hatchete 2 is quite possibly the worst legit horror movie made in the last 5 years. There are people who love it, if they do thats awesome. Im glad people enjoy anything about life. We only live once, why cant we enjoy things no one else does? Why do we have to conform to majority opinion? What sense does that make ? What would even be the point of doing that?
