I will definitely see this... I have TWoO on bluray and am looking forward to the prequel. I think after this there will be a remake of The Wizard of Oz and then they should make a movie about what happens when you follow the RED brick road! That would be a bad ass horror fantasy flick!

I wonder if his back story was ever revealed in the OZ books.

I'll see it for sure. I love Oz. I watched the movie every year when I was a kid. Also read most of the books. I really need to get a copy of the film. Sadly I haven't seen The Wizard of Oz in years.

Yes, he was an old man from Omaha who got lost while riding in a hot air balloon. There was also an unofficial sequel called Return To Oz.

I'm looking forward to it , I have always loved OZ since I was a child. Anyone remember the hanging Munchkin myth? ;D Use to scare the shit out of me when I was a kid. Of course I know it's fake now but it sure did scare me anyways the film definitely looks interesting I'll check it out when it gets released for sure.

Actually, in case who you're all wondering which of the three witches in this is the Wicked Witch Of the West ( the green skinned one) I think I know who it is. It's Theodora, the woman in red who is played by Mila Kunis. The other two are Gilda, and Evanora ( who gets the house crushed on her in Wizard Of OZ)

Yeah, that and the ghost boy in Three Men and a Baby made for some interesting urban legends.

Not a problem. It is one of the more fascinating stories to come out of Hollywood.

I have indeed saw it and enjoyed it. I loved both Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams but Mila Kunis left a lot to be desired (especially based on the character she was playing. Now, I have seen people hate on James Franco's performance, but I thought he was fine. He was playing a character that was over dramatic and a con man. He played that part very well I though.
I would give it a 8/10. It would be a 7 but the 3-D and visuals were amazingly well done.

Mila Kunis had some big shoes to fill and I think she did a good job. Nobody will ever be as great as Margaret Hamilton in that role. I don't know how anyone could put down Franco's performance in this movie. Personally, I thought he was phenomenal and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to play the part.

I didnt even read this but all those things were fake. The Wizard of Oz one is a bird opening his wings. I realized that in 1993. 3 Men and a Baby one was a cardboard cut out. You can see it earlier in the film.
