I want to know what happens next and I'd like to experience one of these movies in a theater to see how the crowd reacts. I think these movies are good but a one time viewing is enough for me.

You do realize you are in the minority Stinger? I have the beat on horror fans and almost no one enjoyed these movies. What does it feels like to be a total and complete outcast? Thank god I found all that out from a credible horror site (unlike horrorbid because I know everything about them too! they are about as inaccurate as all other sites but I read a few comments that pointed them out, so im gonna run with that too) and now that I know no one else like PA movies, I can form my opinion around that fact so that I look like an insider on horror and I roll with the large crowds. Yes Im an unoriginal elitist asshole but you cant argue facts can you? Nope.... So I win.
Wow I even hated faking that persona. LMAO

Eh, I thought the first film was great but the sequels to me were a let down. Not to thrilled for it but I'll give it a whirl when it gets a DVD release even if I'm not too fond of the franchise.

I read that this is supposed to be the final entry in the series, but I will believe that when I see it. They simply make too much at the box office for them to give up at this point.
As for the satirical comment, the overall reactions to the PA movies are usually mixed. Some people are on the edge of their seat, while others find them to be a borefest. It doesn't stop them from being a license to print money though, but that is the benefit of keeping costs down.
It is interesting how the advertising has been rather low key for a while, as all you have to say is "another PA movie is coming out" and the theater is packed opening weekend, much like the Saw series.

These bore me to tears. Everyone I know told me it would scare me. Even the ones who know what a fan of horror I am. I saw nothing scary. All the scares in these films are jump scares. If that's the only horror in a movie the trick loses it's effectiveness. I know I'll end up seeing it eventually. My brother loves these movies. ;D

The first one was something for a change which was good that I liked. After that you kind of got the sense where this was headed too. I saw the 2nd also just so I can compare the follow up which was no different in the feeling of what to come. The 3rd I just ended off because wasn't really in the state of mind to view it. So am I looking forward to the 4th not really. This is one of those franchise which just takes a SIMPLE routine after the 1st dragging the stories. The stories related to paranormal phenomena are not recognize so much after the 1st because I already experienced what it was like outside the normal range.

Yeah, they know that going with the same formula will put butts in seats, so why go with anything else?

Yeah, they know that going with the same formula will put butts in seats, so why go with anything else? Especially when you make money.

I saw this film last night and quite frankly i was not impressed at all. The film seems to go all over the place without explaining anything. Scenes included in the trailer were not even in the movie.I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but i personally did not care much for this movie.
So far in my opinion,Sinister takes the cake for theater horror movie of the month. I'll see how Silent hill turns out next week.

I just got back from seeing this and I thought it was ok. XN is right about scenes from the previews not being in the movie. I didn't even have a jump scare. Some people are saying they thought the ending was great but I thought it was mediocre.

I'll agree with the idea that there are scenes in the previews missing from the movie. There are more questions than answers here.

No doubt. As bad as I've heard part 4 was it still made a profit. So I'd bet they run it into the ground. What am I saying? It's been in a nose dive since the second one. ;D

Speaking of movies that no one cares about, here is the trailer for Scary Movie 5. Why are they parodying movies that are up to three years old?
I would have given it a separate thread, but it isn't worthy of one.
