The change in tone for Nolan's films was certainly different, but that was warranted by the damage that B&R caused to the series. It is very similar to Halloween, when H20 had to retcon and RZH had to start fresh once again. Since TDKR is the last of this series, they will likely reboot, so it will be interesting to see where they go after Nolan made them a pile of money. I don't expect the return of neon and bat nipples though.

I don't think Nolan will go there either. I can tell taht he loves the franchise but I just am not a huge fan of his visioin is all mainly because I feel as if they could do so much more. But taht's just me. I am curious as to how TDKR will end though.

It won't be Nolan doing that possible reboot, as TDKR is his final Bat film. There are actually a lot of people who I could see handling the material well that wouldn't consider it a step down.
As for the ending of TDKR, I wouldn't be surprised if a main character dies or is seriously injured, and I am not ruling out Bruce Wayne at this point.

I think this one's gonna be great. And as much as I love Batman and Batman Returns, I think this will go down as the definitive Batman Series. I'm becoming a big fan of Bale after seeing movies like The Fighter and The Machinist and a big fan of Nolan after seeing The Prestige.

www.youtube.com/user/TheFireRisesThe viral marketing for TDKR is in full swing. One video feature a tall building on fire, which I think might be Wayne Tower. Another one mentions Arkham Asylum.
