Meh. Crichton is dead. Part 3 was written without being based on a book. It stunk. Unless they get someone who can write a JP story as well as he did I doubt it will be any good.

I have some serious doubts about it as well.

The first one is the only one worth watching.

Only so many times you can do the isolated with dinosaurs formula. Jurassic Park was a great movie, and one that still holds up well today in the special effects department. I think the Lost World is tolerable - it has some decent scenes - but isn't a solid film.
As for the third. It brings back Dr. Grant which is nice, but it feels very generic. There isn't anything really going for it. It drags at times too. To be fair, if you don't look at it as a Jurassic Park film and instead as it's own thing, it's passable as a Sci-Fi (or SyFy) original movie, and that's okay.
Now for this fourth film. I think it's a gimmick. Everyone remembers how intense the special effects were for the original film, so the logic here is, "Remember how awesome it was the first time? Well, NOW IT'S IN 3D!"
I can't really see where they'll take it, without it being a repeated scenario. If it goes back to that small and isolated feel, I'd be down for that, but it needs the right cast and characters. Otherwise, it's just a generic dinosaur killing movie.
;D

this needs to happen, I need more damn dinosaurs! ;D
you would think with the amount of money this is likely to rack in, they would get the ball rolling, which I think is what is causing the delay
