I remember reading the books when I was a kid, but it's been so long ago! I'm gonna try to find them, hopefully they'll be re-released since the movie is coming out! Anyway, I really, really, really want to see this! It looks amazing! How did this film get passed me? I found out about it when I was watching Ellen Degenerate (yes, I watch show, you should too, it's pretty cool) with a friend of mine and we were both shocked to see the trailer! Check it out!

I've never heard of the books, looks like an interesting movie though. Wow, you never heard of them? It came out in the 60's! CLICK HERE

There was also a cartoon for it, I believe.
As for the movie itself, eh, the book isn't long enough. So they'd have to expand and add stuff, which I guess is fine, but normally when they do, it changes the entire story around from what it was.
Read the book as a child, found it worth the read. But not as into it as some others are.

I liked this book when I was a child. Not really sure what I think about this movie. The monsters look the same but I'm not sure it's just gonna be another CG friendly average adventure tale. Time will tell.

Yeah, like Narnia, Spiderwick Chronicles or whatever, I didn't give two shits over, but I really want to see this! I think the CG actually looks good!

I know those just went overboard with it, it doesn't look like they went that way with this one but its hard to tell from just a trailer. Hopefully more footage will be released to give a better picture of what its going to be like.

Here's a test footage I found, the voice is a little choppy and it really doesn't sound like it would go with Carol! Is it me or does Max seem younger in this clip then he is in the trailer?

The monster suit doesn't look too bad, now that I can see it. The trailer didn't do that.
As for Max looking younger, maybe he stays on that island longer than he did in the book. It'd make sense, considering they have to take so little pages from the book and expand it into a movie.
I'm still curious to how they're going to fill in the gaps, which is what worries me the most. Aside from that, looks like it could be good, light hearted fun.

Such a great book. Loved this as a kid. Brings back a lot of great memories.
I want to read the book again before the movie comes out!

Still in the Trailer before he goes to the inland he looks older! Like when they show him in school or at his house. Here's the hole book animated and narrated by author, Maurice Sendak!

Cool video. It's not narrated by the author though. It's narrated by some dude called Peter Schnekle
Thanks for posting it!
