www.imdb.com/title/tt0816711/PLOT: A U.N. employee is racing against time and fate, as he travels the world trying to stop the outbreak of a deadly Zombie pandemic. MY TAKE: "However, these aren't the traditional slow shamblings that stereotypically stagger and crave brains. Rather, they are quick-moving, aggressive, reckless, and move in gigantic herds, making them a formidable collective force that could be qualified as an enemy army in a new "World War."" TRAILER: *The Theme In that Trailer Is pretty dam awesome. Looking forward to this one!!!

I need to read the book first. I keep hearing it's a great read. Having not read it, I still hope they get the film close to the book. I hate when a film diverges from it's source material too much.

So 28 Days Later...
;D
I agree, Kyle. Though there is one exception for me - Jaws. The film and the novel both have unique parts and scenes to them, and they're both great, but the ending in the novel is too weak and anti-climactic. It really is outdone by the movie's finale.
Back to World War Z. I'm curious to see where it goes, but I'm getting really burned out on zombie films. The catering to the mainstream is really making the formula predictable and, I don't know, kind of streamline. I'm sure it'll be worth a watch with all the talk and hype it's getting, but will it deliver? I did enjoy the Zombie Survival Guide, which was written by the same guy, I think.

Yes, Max Brooks also wrote the Zombie Survival Guide. As for this movie, I am not sold on it, but will still give it a chance.

I couldn't even believe it @ first when I first heard it. I was trying to let it sink in, then again less than 1% of those 200 million dollar budget movie doesn't fail to deliver. All we got to do is wait and see!!!

Would this movie have made a good mini-series?

I was really looking forward to this one, I was not disappointed at all. Alot of mix reviews, some I agree with. Anything new & surprising are always welcomed at my door step. Overall I gave it a 3.9/5.
