www.imdb.com/title/tt0074455/This was Tobe Hooper's second film. While not even close to as good as the film that made him famous I must say I enjoyed it. It's definitely low budget and trippy. But it's a fun idea for a horror film. With an amazing performance by Neville Brand as "Judd". He played insane very convincingly. His character was a kind of amalgam of Drayton Sawyer and Leatherface. It also has Robert Englund's first appearance in a horror film. As Buck, a pretty memorable hick with a fetish. BTW this film makes up for the lack of gore in TCM. With a pretty damn cool kill with a scythe. I give it a 3 and a half out of five. Not his best work, but not his worst either. It's definitely worth watching.

Hooper is such a hit and miss director. When he misses (ie. The Mangler), it is a travesty. Now, I could say that about a lot of directors, but it tends to happen when they work a lot in the genre.
