I love the comic. I can't recommend it highly enough. The show does follow the core of the comic but I feel has enough differences that it leaves me guessing just what they'll do next.

The Comics are amazing, it is a definite must have for comic collectors, yet alone horror fans. I really enjoyed them as they do follow the steps to the series. There is so much going on in the comics that you cannot believe it, stuff that you couldn't believe that would happen during the series if it reaches that point.

Oh absolutely. This series seems to have quite a bit of leeway for regular cable. But I know there are things that have no chance of being on the show. Not on regular cable anyway. If the show was on HBO or Showtime I could see some of those things being included. It should be interesting to see just how much they can show and what they might put in the place of those events.

I was going to watch it today because the Cowboys game was on during it but when I heard all the buzz surrounding last nights episode I had to watch it to avoid spoilers so I stayed up and caught the midnight airing and boy I'm glad I did, such a emotional episode, the writers this year are definitely not holding anything back, considering that this was just the 4th episode of a 16 episode season and the magnitude of what happened last night

It's definitely unfolding differently than the comic book. Definitely a great season so far.

Spoiler
Do you guys think there is any way Lori will be a zombie or did she just bleed out and die? We didn't actually see Carl shoot her. Not really a fan of Lori but it made me teary eyed and was emotional. Poor T-Dog but he went out awesome! Does anybody watch Talking Dead? He was on last night and seems like a really sweet guy.

If it goes like the comic she won't be a zombie. But she does make a reappearance of sorts.

Judging by next week's episode I hope Glenn isn't one of the next ones to get killed. If so, I'll probably shed a few tears.

Glenn in some hot water, doesn't look good. Hell of a episode last night, so much to touch base upon. I wish an episode shows everyday haha.

I would even settle for two hours every week commercial free, hehe. The hour goes by way too fast. I'm anxious to see what happens when Daryl sees Merle. The governor is one creepy dude.

"I'm anxious to see what happens when Daryl sees Merle." I can't wait to see this either!!! The Governor is weird in all ways.

It's almost like they took the Governor and split him between 2 characters on the show. Because Merle is actually exhibiting the more outrageous characteristics of the comic book Governor. The series is telling the story completely differently. The core of the story is still recognizable. But it's diverged from the original story in a lot more ways than previous seasons. I'm not complaining mind you. I like that it's able to keep me guessing.

You phrase that perfectly IFdude. "Governor under Dissociative Identity Disorder" & Merle exhibiting the more outrageous characteristics of the comic book Governor. 1 Kill

I think the most compelling character so far this season has been Rick and just how much he has changed since the first season, how much control he used to have over things and now how little he has now
plus I don't get the whole romance thing with the Gov and Andrea, why do shows always have to feel like there has to be romance and sex in a show?, its like theres a rule written somewhere that it has to happen that we don't know about

Mid season finale is going to be "A Wreck" tonight. Man that last episode got me jumping out of my seat. I'll be honest this season compared to last is a nail biter. I love this series, just wish it never ends, and then have to wait about 2 months. I don't even know what I'll do!!!

I look forward to the fall finale tonight. I am confident somebody will die.
EDIT: Better not be Meryl, I have a man crush on him that I am un ashamed about.

Holy shit!!!! what an episode "War zone" That was excellent. I don't even know where to begin. What we've all been waiting for Brother faces Brother....that was it for me. Like father like son (Carl), I like how Carl is taking care of things, like you never misses his Father. Man did the Governor got is good. You don't live up to the Governor, he throws you to the dogs. I had a feeling that was coming. What a perfect way to end it, cause I can't wait....good one. Can you wait for 2 months?
