AMC:www.amctv.com/shows/the-walking-deadEpisodes Summary:Time Has Passed The first episode of the season is titled “30 Days Without an Accident.” There has been some time since the season finale that saw a major shift in the group dynamic (see: huge deaths), and specifically the start of this episode is a month into relative peace and quiet. You’ll see Rick as a farmer, kids attending “school” of sorts, and some real progress toward a sense of normalcy – before everything goes to hell, of course. New Survivors, New Romances While there were some major deaths last season, we also got some new characters right towards the end. Prepare for even more names to remember – but don’t get too attached. The biggest change that a month of living quietly seems to have offered to the crew is the chance for a little sumpin sumpin. There are brand-new romances, some surprise pairings, and at least one that will set Tumblr aflame. One of the most interesting additions, though, is that of the other kids to the camp. Seeing Carl play off of them adds a new dimension to his character. Seeing the kids’ disconnect to the reality of this world adds a new dimension to it, too. The Council Rick-tatorship be damned, the group is now led by a council. Rick was always an uncomfortable leader, but it will be interesting to see how this plays out: a group as small as this one being led by a democratic inner circle seems like a pot just waiting to boil over. We won’t spoil who exactly is on this council, but seasoned veterans of the show won’t be too surprised. You Will Be Afraid of Supermarkets The absolute standout scene from these first two episodes is an intense, exciting sequence in a supermarket. The slow burn from when you first realize something is wrong to the sh*t hitting the fan makes your pulse pound before anything even really happens. This is the best use of horror tension I’ve seen on the show yet, and when things go south, they plummet. There’s likewise an incredibly serene, quiet moment in the second episode, a resignation that is beautiful and depressing and poetic. In these first two episodes, they will absolutely tell you that there is no such thing as normal anymore. No One Is Safe This one should come as no surprise, as it has been the mantra of both the show for three seasons and the comic book for ten years. It’s pushing forward in some big new ways in these first two episodes, however. There’s a mystery figure in the dark, a new wrinkle to the zombie infection, even more new living folk introduced, and certain characters who seem about ready to explode, including one new to the show (watch for him in that supermarket scene) and one from the comics who we’ve been waiting to see break free. Bonus Round So there you have it, and as a bonus here’s one more thing to prepare you: if you thought the first three seasons had cliffhangers, just you wait. The cliffhanger to the first episode will make you say “oh sh*t,” but the cliffhanger to the second will make you say “f***ing sh*t you can’t end an episode like that, what is wrong with you people?!” So look forward to that. The Walking Dead Season 4 HD Trailer:Does the time fly. Back in Zombie Business. Lets see what they got in store for us!

First one to tell me the three Questions Rick ask you get 5 campers killed. (Past Due)

Intense, Intense & more Intense. Teaching the kids early @ anything in life is the best scenario for survival in the real world.
* Rat Walkers? Who you think is feeding the Walkers Rat?

This is getting insane episode after episode, so much to talk about. This Flu-Like Illness spreading around the prison is causing a havoc. Tyreese has officially gone nuts, this guy hammer down about 20-30 walkers never in hell thought he'll make it through. Carol is a whole other story, Glenn joining the sick, hope this med comes through. Definitely do not want to loose Glenn, who's been there since it all started. My favorite scene tonight is Off to College, at least couple hundred walkers, dam that was an insane view.

I don't think Glenn will die due to this "flu". In the comics he was a long-running and major character, and I assume when his bell tolls it'll be told at the appropriate time. Despite the show diverging and going towards its own path, some key elements remain, though the sequence or order they happen can and have changed, like Shane's demise.
I missed the last episode, but I had seen the other two of this season. I'm hoping they go somewhere with this, especially if they intend to branch off and tell their own story, because long standing around monologues can work - and I do enjoy them - but they can also strangle a show.
I'm not as into this show as many others, but it isn't the worst. I like some bits of it, but others not so much. I will give it props though, it does kill off some of the more annoying or frustrating characters, allowing the viewer to relax. I could never get into Rick's wife, and Andrea, while okay, was just getting more difficult to watch each time she showed up.
At the moment, my favorite characters would be Michonne, Daryl, and Carl. Michonne and Carl kind of have a template to work with, but Daryl doesn't exist in the comics, so he's a little more free to work with. Problem is, this can go either way - he can be used to keep things fresh for comic readers, or he'll become the go-to guy for plot convenience.

Excellent acting by David Morrissey. This guy is truly lost in another world, yet still bound by his loved ones. The twist in his character is beyond imagination. "Don't mess with the Governator"

I couldn't even handle the Paul Walker Incident, now I have to deal with this. Lord help us through these tough times. On top wait until February, people lives changes in an instant.
Edit: My Heart literally stopped beating after last night's episode. Boy did the Governor got it good, real good. I can't wait to see what happens next, the split up, finding each other, re-locating etc etc.
Hershel was excellent, he will be truly missed. Hard to say it, but the Governor brings the fire and without him ...

I felt in was too soon to kill The Governor off, he's too important of a character, they spent half of the beginning of this season just building up his return, only to kill him off before the season is even over. I for one wasn't as shocked to see Hershal die, you knew he had to go eventually, the guy was only going around on one leg. I just glad to see them get out the prison, the show is so much more interesting when they're out and alone trying to survive

I couldn't agree with you more Doomsday. The Governor was just getting into the sweet of things. Amazing acting by David Morrissey. I wonder what lies ahead...especially no more protection.

It was really good to see TWD this weekend. Felt as if Halloween is around the corner again. Truly the best show on TV without a doubt. It was such an excellent opening picking up where it left off. What can I say about Carl, too much pudding is getting to his head. Even in real life without a Father, your path to success is over. It was nice seeing Michonne finding them. Next episode looks more interesting locating the other members.

Introducing Abraham from Southland to securing a spot in TWD. Impressive, I knew he had looked familiar. Good pace to last night's episode. Man I tell you Rick can't even catch a proper sleep. Luckily no harm done getting out that house. Can't wait for next week.

Daryl is seriously with the wrong set of people. Terminus??......sounds more like End of Days. Season 4 Marathon starting Saturday leading up to the Finale, hell of a Weekend ahead.

Couple words to describe last night's episode: Heart-pounding, adrenaline rush, fierce, vicious, survival, family, killed or be killed. That scene alone where Rick tears out Rob (claim Gang) Jugular vein.....unreal.
The other was Ringleader, Archer & Samurai...I was dying...
6 months, can't believe it. Way too long.
