I don't mind that, I'd like to see a found footage flick with Jason. Could be a blast if done right.

would have much rather seen a sequel to the 2009 remake, this same story being told in a different way attitude in Hollywood is out of control how does a found footage movie work if its trying to tell the story all over again? all where going to get is shaky cam with a bunch of kids in the woods being chased by Jason

Yea I just wished they stayed on track from the reboot already done. Go from there...

I agree with Doomsday's comment. Things are out of control with found footage. The 2009 reboot wasn't perfect, but it was a better spring board for more sequels.

I guess I didn't hear about this one, thanks for posting Stalker. Wow....found footage....Hmmm.... Me personally would continue from the reboot, because it will just throw everything off when you are dealing with "found footage".

Again, I don't mind either way really. Continuing off the re boot or found footage I think it'll be entertaining either way.

I don't mind the "found footage" trope, but couldn't this have still tied into the remake? Telling the same story again is pointless, because most casual citizens know the basic premise of a Jason movie. I guess this is just a way for the studio to cut some corners and spending, while hoping to make back a huge profit.
Regardless, I'd like to see this series take off. I just want something that isn't zombies (overdone now), torture (every other damn Horror movie), or haunted houses (the rising trend).

I hear you Kwik, I miss the slashers. Zombies, ghosts, Jigsaw knock offs, haunted houses etc are just a bore. There are exceptions of course, but it's kinda a bummer when Texas Chainsaw is the only one to be in theaters that is a slasher flick.

How about inbred rednecks in the woods that are also hom, icidal maniacs?

It's kind of ironic that the Texas Chainsaw Massacre appears to be thriving now, but back then it was everybody else. Cinematic karma, maybe? Lol.
Good call, stalker. That's about done to death too.
