It looks like the popular 80s action movie Predator is headed for a reboot, with Shane Black writing and directing. Black is best known for his screenplay for Lethal Weapon and for both writing and directing Iron Man 3. He will reportedly draft a treatment for the new Predator flick, after which Fred Dekker (Monster Squad) will write the screenplay. A classic among sci-fi and action movies, the 1987 version is credited with helping to make Arnold Schwarzenegger a household name. The film also memorably starred Carl Weathers (Rocky) and iconic wrestler-turned-Minnesota-governor Jesse Ventura. The plot featured a team of commandos who became the target of extra-terrestrial warriors while on a mission in Central America. Interestingly, Black turned down the opportunity to work on the script for the first Predator movie, but he did appear onscreen in a small role. The cast for the new 20th Century Fox production has not been announced, but we know that the new version will have the same three producers as the original—John Davis, Joel Silver and Lawrence Gordon. With this project, Predator joins a growing number of classic sci-fi pictures being re-imagined for a new generation. It is not the first attempt to reboot the franchise. Predator 2 was released in 1990, minus Arnold Schwarzenegger. Several years later Predator was combined with Alien for two Alien vs. Predator flicks. Another installment called Predators made its way to the big screen in 2010. www.stack.com/2014/07/04/predator-reboot/

That would be sweet. His appearance alone is much appreciated. They plan on giving him something bigger instead of a cameo.
