I thought the new trailer was great. I love the part where Spiderman is pushing Sandman's face against the moving subway. I was a little disappointed that Venom didn't make an appearance. People at the SDCC saw that shit like months ago. :wah:

O.K. it takes some doing to get to it but if you go here. www.aintitcool.com/node/30671You can go into the talkback section and find links to where you can download a rough trailer with Venom footage at the end. I think he looks great. If not a little small. But it's kind of hard to judge his size since the footage is so quick and it's of Venom coming at the camera so you don't get a view of the body for long.

Venom is way too small. Topher Grace shouldn't have played him.
In the comic books, he was 6'3" and 260 pounds.

Because he's on all fours and his head takes up most of the camera. I'll admit his arms looked on the small side. But this was early footage from months ago. We don't know if they've bulked him up or not. We also don't know how his morphing powers work in the movie. That scene is obviously right after he is take over by the symbiote. Maybe he bulks himself up in a later appearance? I will say they got the face right. That looked like the comic Venom to me.

That Venom scene was pretty sweet though. There's no way they'll make Venom thin. They have to CGI his entire body so they probably just focused on the face for the comic convention. I can't wait to see that trailer when it is 100% finished. I'll go watch whatever movie it is linked to. ;D

Like you said they just wanted to show off his face to the fans.

Like you said they just wanted to show off his face to the fans. Most of the CG scenes were cartoons and there was a few places where you could see the blue screen behind the actors. Never seen a half assed trailer like that before. ;D That isn't the trailer that was at SDCC. However, that was the Venom scene they used in that trailer. That's why it's a little better than the rest. They really didn't need to do anything with the body because everyone was going to be focused on the face to begin with and they only got to see it once. No pausing or any of that. It'll be much better by the time it's released.

Never been a fan of the Spider Man films...or any of those comic book-based films anyways. I may go check this out, but I'm unsure....lol Just as long as there isn't a certain someone in it, I may give it a watch....what main characters take a role in the movie? If he's in it tho, I think I'll pass on this one....

You talking about Cletus Kassady?
If so, that's Carnage, the red-colored Symbiote that was spawn from Venom.
In all honesty, I think Carnage is much cooler than Venom. Not only did he have the tendril-whips lashing around him, but his hands could transform into various bladed weapons, and not to mention his personality was awesome, before and after the Symbiote; As Kassady and as Carnage.

The Symbiote thing got kind of crazy around then, all of them runnning around. It's reached a new level of ridiculousness now that the Scorpion (another Spider-man villain) has the Venom Symbiote attatched to him. Venom was cool, Carnage as well. But they pretty much overdid it, though I have to admit the game based on those events, Seperation Anxiety, was a pretty awesome and fun game. ........Yeah.......it was him I was talking about..................................................................... What's wrong with him?
