- Jake was indeed a highlight for the show. If he is brought in full-time, he would be a perfect man to take anyone (including Shark Boy) to the darkside. Despite coming off as wasted, he felt like the Jake of old days. - Angle seems revitalized, I'm curious as to how he will affect the main event. - Hernandez's Border Toss looked especially deadly last night. The only lowloight of LAX was that Moody Jack took a job with another promotion and is gone. - The highlight for me was Low-Ki destroying the Jackass crew and digging up his old finisher, the Ki Krusher. Speaking of fatallities, here is a finishing move from Low-Ki and Homicide that qualifies as a fatallity: I wouldn't say wasted. I'd say he was excited. But maybe because he knew he was actually being used to his characters strengths instead of just another body. Not being brought in to job just to build up a jack ass like Orton. LOL Used properly he could really help a lot of the talent in TNA. Like I said there are very few men who can do a promo better than Jake The Snake Robert's. He can draw you in and make you care about whatever point he's trying to get across. Idf he could help teach that skill to some of the talent there or just improve their abilities. Wow. And if he's not able to because some things come naturally. In other words some men have natural talent in that area. Others don't. For those that don't He could be their mouthpiece. The things Jake could teach that locker room would be amazing. Angle was freaking amazing. He looked great. I think he's going to help TNA a lot. Yeah Senshi beating the piss out of them didn't bother me at all. As for that video. OWWIE!!! How did that guy not break his neck?

With him interviewing all the greats managers from the past picking someone as unimpressive as Tracy Brooks just comes off as a let down. Kevin Nash's X-Division Battle Royal was actually pretty good. Even with the rather silly additions of A1,Sirelda and Short Sleeve Sampson the little person . But with it supposedly run by Nash we knew there was going to be a few funny things thrown in. It was interesting to see some of the old faces of TNA show up. With D-Ray 3000 and Zach Gowen showing up. I'm happy they decided to re-debut Austin Starr a.k.a. Austin Aries in this match instead of having him debut against a jobber. It made it more special. His new look really looks like a cross between Rick Rude and Randy Savage. Him winning was a foregone conclusion. At least I thought so. The way they've been building his debut if he'd lost it would have really been stupid. I think one of the highlights of the match even though it wasn't in the ring was Kevin Nash on commentary. Some of the things he can come up with are just so funny. I'm happy Team 3-D won. I was wondering if it was going to be them or the Naturals. They've been building both up pretty good for awhile now. The Monster's Ball was a blast. Before it happened Jake had some fun with Jeremy Borash in the back. LOL The match was great and Jake was a lot of fun to watch. His reactions to everything that was going on was priceless. Joe just proved yet again how tough he is by all he went through in the match. Going through multiple tables and taking chairshot after chairshot. It was nice to see Eric win. He's always entertaining. and he is OVER big time. Now maybe they can start him on something new. The pull apart between Joe and Angle was intense. I think Angle may have hurt one of the security guards when he broke through them the last time because he sent him ass over teakettle. LOL This is building up to be something special and I for one can't wait to see them finally have their match. I'll admit I was a bit surprised that Sabin won. It was a great match. One of the best X-Division matches in a long while. Between decent action in the Kevin Nash Battle Royal and this match the X-Division is looking better than it has in several months. I was REALLY surprised they had the hometown boy Rhino lose especially since he lost the last match they had. I've really been enjoying their feud. And there's no way it's over yet. The Six Sides Of Steel match was just amazing. Violent as Hell and the moves pulled off in it amazed me. I'm not sure which one amazed me more. The cross body from the top of the cage by Daniels or the missed splash by Hernandez off the top of the cage. The man is 6'6" and weighs about 275 pounds. Seeing someone that big try an ariel move from that height was more than a little shocking. This feud has been amazing. The LAX have really come into their own. The Main Event was great too. They'd been hinting for weeks that there was going to be some changes to Sting. Using Biblical phrases talking about going from dark to light etc. With shots of the Crow version of Sting having varied colors in his paint. I thought at the most we'd see the Crow Sting with a couple streaks of bright paint and that was it. Boy was I wrong. He really is a hybrid version now of the surfer version and the Crow version. I really like the look. He needed the change. He's had the Crow look with very little change other than hair length and the style of the trench coat for nearly a decade. It was mentioned during the match that he'd lost 20 pounds since his last appearance. It was noticeable. As was mentioned earlier in the thread even before that he was smaller than his peak. So he's at his smallest wrestling weight ever I'd say. I think most of the 20 he lost was from the waist. He obviously wanted to slim that down so he could get rid of the singlet. His chest is much smaller than in his prime but his arms are still fairly large. I think for his age he looks in remarkable shape. The match was actually pretty slow to start. I think they were trying to get across Sting's ring rust or show he had doubts about his abilities. But once he got the crowd behind him it picked up. Angle played his part well as an outside enforcer. Making both Sting and Jarrett get back in the ring when they got out for breathers. He also stopped both from using chairs on each other. But when he was taking it from Sting Jarret tried jumping Sting from behind and ended up "ref bumping" Angle by running the chair into him and knocking him down the ramp when Sting stepped out of the way of the attack. By the time Angle was coming out of it Jarrett and Sting and had had a pretty good mid ring collision and the Ref was calling for a 10 count for one of them to get up. When the ref reached 9 it was obvious neither were getting up and Angle shot through the ropes. He grabbed the Ref Olympic Slammed him and took over as the Ref himself saying "Lets Get It On!" to get them up and fighting. The match ended when Angle stopped Sting from using his bat. Sting backed Angle up by pushing him in the chest with the bat but Angle grabbed it from him. When Sting turned around Jarrett hit him with his guitar but Sting no sold it and did his flex scream thing at him. He then got Jarrett in the Scorpion Death Lock and Jarrett fought for a bit but tapped. Angle went and got the belt for Sting and then got him his bat. Then backed away and let the fans celebrate. It was an awesome way to end it. And was a great PPV all around.

Interesting iMPACT! last night. Probably the best news to come from it is the fact that Jarrett won't be going for a automatic rematch next month. YES!!!! They are doing a tournament to determine Sting's opponent for the next PPV. Abyss won a buy in the tournament. I would love it if at the end of the tournament he was the winner. A feud/match with him and Sting would be great. Well the blow off match with the Naturals push was a bit disappointing. But understanding. I guess the next feud for the title will be AMW and LAX for the title. So having the Naturals also right there as the number one contenders would have been a bit awkward. It was nice to see them grow a bit of a back bone with Shane Douglas though. The Paparazzi Productions this week was very interesting. I think them dropping Johnny Devine was a good idea. He never really fit very well. And the line Nash said for the reason they did it was his usual great comedy. I liked them building on Shelley's jealousy over Nash's attention with Austin Starr. Who know's maybe Alex will go face and turn on Nash when he decides he's not getting the attention he deserves? I was right about them trying to turn Jarrett face. And initially I was against it. But I will say this. If Jarrett actually steps back takes time off and comes back lower on the card giving others a chance to shine I'd be willing to give a face turn a chance. I wonder if they are planning on making a new group for Raven? What with having Matt Bentley dressing in the goth outfit and standing where Raven usually does. The Angle promo in the ring was great. But he's always been good at promos. Admitting he feared Joe was a gutsy way to take it. But turning it around and calling Joe a bleeder to bait him into a confrontation was great. I think the pull apart was pretty cool too because they made it look even better by showing the other wrestlers couldn't keep them apart either. All in all not a bad show at all.

McMahon really fucked up when they lost Angle to TNA. I was thinking this was going to happen once he left WWE. I'm really excited about an Angle/Samoa Joe feud. Sting's new look is long overdue. My fav Sting was always the colorful one and I always loved the different designs he painted on his face. It was pretty funny when Jarrett hit him with that guitar on the pay-per-view. It must have felt really strange to him not having straps on his outfit anymore cause he kept on pulling his pants up during the match, lol. I think its awesome he lost twenty pounds. I would love to see different types of colors on his face also like greens, purples, blues, etc. (some were shown on the commercials) but I'm not sure if this will happen or not.

Interesting edition of iMPACT! this week: - Love to see LAX transition into a feud with the slowly face-turning AMW. Rumors suggest that Homicide is trying to get his student (Low-Ki/Senshi) to join LAX; management says no. - The Joe/Angle feud is off to a good start. Although, I would rather see a rising star (Sabin, Williams, Roode, Shelley, Homicide, Abyss, Hernandez) end Joe's streak. - Nice to see TNA giving Lance Hoyt his tiny push back; loved the Van Terminator and moonsault on the monster. - I predict Abyss will win the tournament and put over Sting. This man always comes close to winning the title, but fails. A great way to give Abyss a boost is to have him put an end to Samoa Joe, cleanly. A clean win would actually make him look more like the bad ass that he really is. - Devine may be out due to the fact that he just opened up a wrestling school. I liked his skills, but his charisma spelt out jobber. - The Wrestling Observer has reported that TNA President Dixie Carter has had meetings with Jericho. I feel that he will be a great addition to the roster, like Christian, Rhino, and Angle. 3 more shows until TNA goes primetime. For fun, here is a YTMND showing Vince McMahon reacting to Kurt Angle's new job: mcmahonreacts.ytmnd.com/

For fun, here is a YTMND showing Vince McMahon reacting to Kurt Angle's new job: mcmahonreacts.ytmnd.com/The feud between LAX and AMW could really be great. What with AMW being a more established team it would definitely give LAX a rub if they could beat them. Not to mention the back and forth promos between the 2 teams should be very entertaining. If they're smart they wont have Angle end Joe's streak. But then again having Angle lose his first match back wouldn't look good either. I really don't know how they could book it to leave both men looking good in the end. But like you said it's been very entertaining so far. The Van Terminator was impressive. Especially when someone that big does it. It also makes Abyss look that much more impressive when he's able to get up and hit the Black Hole Slam after taking it. I agree that Abyss looks to be the winner of the tournament. But that could just be wishful thinking. LOL He is my favorite wrestler after all. ;-) And I agree it really would build him up if they chose him to end Joe's streak. Not only that but can you imagine how awesome the match would be? Abyss can sell better than just about anyone and still end up looking good and strong. He can also work so many different styles. With so many different opponents. So seeing him in there with Joe one on one. Wow that would be great entertainment. I hope Jericho ends up in TNA. I think their schedule would really benefit him greatly. And some of the matches that could happen would be great. Primetime is going to be a great thing for TNA. Now all they need is another hour. I think that ytmnd fits the situation very well. LOL

iMPACT! was pretty good this week. I like the direction they're taking some of the different wrestlers. They've been teasing a Sabin heel turn for awhile now and finally they went ahead and did it. Which I think is actually the way to take him. I like that AJ is X-division champ even if it is going back to what he's done before. But with them going prime time I can understand why they'd want the belt on him. Plus it helps build the future of Sabin's heel turn. Next weeks 3 way between Roode, Styles and Killings to see who faces Abyss should be interesting. In a way I want AJ to win that match because he and Abyss have had some great matches together. But it would also be cool to see Roode or Killings against Abyss. I think I was right about them starting up another group for Raven. Now they have Kazarian doing the goth look too. And if Bentley did join a group under Raven it would only make sense that Kazarian would join him. I'm very interested to see where they're going with this. I was excited to hear that Angle's first match would be on the upcoming Prime time 2 hour special. I wonder who his opponent will be? The training video they showed of Joe and Kurt was good. It showed how much intensity both have and the different styles they use to prepare for a match. Very well done.

- I was impressed with Daniels, Roode, Killings, Hoyt, Sabin, and Styles. All six of these men never fail to impress me with a solid match. I would rather have Styles and Killings out since they already have held the title. Roode, Sabin, and Hoyt are still a little inexperienced for main eventing. That only leaves Daniels (who was already eliminated); I would rather see him face Abyss and/or win the title. I predict that Styles faces off with Abyss, after that, I can't pick a winner, although I would rather have Abyss go over Styles for once and then flatten Sting. - I was kind of lost on the rules for the Christian/Rhino battle. - It was nice to see TNA do something with Bentley and Kazarian. Although Tenay gave it away that they looked just like Raven. ============================================== Abyss, I am your father!

Is Raven still looking really bad? He's nowhere near his peak. but he's looking better. I'd say he's probably lost about 20 pounds since coming back. He's also moving around alot better.

I want Abyss to win the tournament and face Sting too. And like you I would LOVE it if he was booked to win. I've never hidden the fact that Abyss is my favorite wrestler right now. And there's a reason. The man can fucking work. What I mean by that is unlike pretty much every big man that's come down the pike he can work with anyone and look good doing it. And make them look good too. I don't care what anyone says he IS the best big man in the sport today. And I think it would be all kinds of awesome if TNA let him run with the Title. Even if only for a month. If I understood it right the Rhino Christian fight was them fighting for which weapons they can use on each other in the Barb Wire Cage match at the Prime Time TNA debut. If you climb the pole and unhook the item you are allowed to use the item in the match. Bentley and Kazarian are a great tag team. So if they are to be paired up with Raven that just makes them even better. Because he can teach them so much. As for Jake possibly being revealed as Abyss's father? Why not? Abyss needs more of a back story. Jake is the right age and size. And adding him to James Mitchell to guide Abyss would be really cool.

The last time I saw Jake in Beyond The Mat, he was really out of shape and washed up. Well I doubt they plan on him wrestling. So far they only used him as a referee. And it sounds like they are planning on using him for just appearances. I will say he does look better than he did in Beyond the Mat. He's lost some weight since then and I've heard he's clean now. I'm all for TNA using him. He's a Legend who is one of the best talkers in the business. I think having him there is great. Because he can help teach the younger generation those skills. And if they decide to have him wrestle once in a blue moon I really can't complain. He's not in any worse shape physically than Ric Flair and he still wrestles. So if Jake has a match once in awhile I'm fine with it. I think that they are going to use him for more of a mouthpiece for the younger talent though.

Jake doesn't get enough respect for being the inventor of the DDT. That is one of the most used and modified moves ever. You're right about that. There's an interesting story about Raven using the DDT as a finishing move. He actually asked Jake if if it was o.k. for him to use it as a finisher. Jake said he was fine with it because he was one of the few that did it right. So Raven has been given Jake Robert's approval on his Raven Effect DDT.
