Jake doesn't get enough respect for being the inventor of the DDT. That is one of the most used and modified moves ever. You're right about that. There's an interesting story about Raven using the DDT as a finishing move. He actually asked Jake if if it was o.k. for him to use it as a finisher. Jake said he was fine with it because he was one of the few that did it right. So Raven has been given Jake Robert's approval on his Raven Effect DDT. I've heard that story too about Jake and Raven. They both have the best DDTs for only one reason, no one gets up from them. Today, when you see a DDT (or a "modified" version) from anyone they always pop right back up and get hit with about fifty more. I have seen very few get up from a DDT delivered by Jake or Raven.

Exactly. That's why Jake said it was o.k. for Raven to use it. Because he was using it for a finishing move. So like I mentioned he thought Raven was one of the few doing it right. Like you said to many people use it like it's a freaking arm bar or a clothesline. That takes away from the devastation of the move. Of course there is one upside to everyone doing it and making theirs look less impressive. It just makes Raven and Jake's look that much more devastating.

Too many classic finishing moves have been relegated to mid-match moves.

The clothesline is a joke now. Stan Hansen's Lariat was the real version.
The DDT should only be used at the end of a match by certian people.

Add the powerbomb to that list. Dave Batista's version may not have any real power, but it is a huuuuuuge step up from all other current powerbombs.
It makes me wonder how the Canadian Destroyer or Low-Ki's (Senshi) Ghetto stomp will be treated in the future.

It makes me wonder how the Canadian Destroyer or Low-Ki's (Senshi) Ghetto stomp will be treated in the future. In my opinion, Vader did the most effective and brutal powerbomb. The Canadian Destroyer is one of my favourite moves in TNA. I like the Black Hole Slam and Cradle Shock as well. Until I saw your avatar, I had never seen the Ghetto Stomp before.

Quick fun fact: Scott D'Amore actually invented both the Cradle Shock (known as the D'Amoralizer) and the Canadian Destoryer. D'Amore actually trained Petey and Sabin amongst others. I haven't seen his Destroyer yet, but he has a deadly D'Amoralizer and a heavy moonsault; a video of both used to be on YouTube, but it was taken down. Just in case you are wondering, D'Amore is basically a stronger, fatter Petey Williams.
Black Hole slam is a great use of a finisher that fell into a mid-match move. Abyss' rapid spins actually re-elevated this move back to glory.
So far, the only new WWE finisher that has any impact is Carlito's back cracker. Unlike other WWE moves, it looks like it can hospitalize someone. WWE had something great with the Masterlock, but seemed to have dropped it as Masters' career faded into oblivion.
Edit: I found a video of D'Amore hitting a Canadian Destroyer, close to the end:

He is a pretty good wrestler for a guy of his frame!
He is also a good businessman and entrepeneur.

It's a shame that the coach is no longer on TV.
Anyway, TNAheadlines is reporting that Midway producers were in the iMPACT! zone scanning wrestlers. The fans audio was also captured in order to create the cheers and boos that will be heard in the upcoming 2007 game. Also some of the more popular chants were captured by the producers.

A TNA game will be cool.
I would play as Abyss.

TNA has nowhere to go but up with this new time slot next week.
- Only the Abyss/Styles match was really good. Nice to see Abyss get another push. - Now we kind of know where Bobby Robert Roode is going with this stock market gimmick. I love his voice, but what he really needs is a group to lead and/or bully. - The Franchise hit the nail on the head when it came to Team 3D declining since leaving ECW. The Naturals seemed to have been revitalized with Douglas leading them to victory. - LAX have once again established themselves as great heels, only Jeff Jarrett gets that much hatred from the fans. I see a replacement for Jarrett in LAX within a few months. - I am mad that I don't have PPV access. I want to see the brutality that comes from Angle/Joe. I can't wait for the DVD of Genesis '06. I can see this match elevating both men. - I find it odd that Sabin is reffered to as a disrespectful punk, since he actually came into being during the begining of the X-Division along with Styles and Lynn. Although, I like his new direction.

Abyss and Styles always have good matches together. They are both such great workers so the chemistry they have together is always great. I agree that Team 3-D haven't had the fire they had since ECW but you can't argue with their success since then. Only LOD is comparable in accomplishments. The feud between 3-D and The Naturals looks like it's going to be great. I think it will revitalize both teams. LAX are indeed great. And according to the site bellow your namesake may finally be joining them soon. headlineplanet.com/home/2006/11/14/tna-tidbits-senshi-val-bound-for-glory/Actually Sabin showed up after Lynn had had the majority of his glory in the X-Division. He came in just a bit before the injury that put Sabin out of the division. He actually tagged with him for awhile if I remember right. But this was after Sabin and Styles started the whole thing.

Angle/Joe will be a Match Of The Year contender for sure. There's no doubt of that at all. It's a wrestling fans wet dream. LOL The way they've been building up to it has been perfect so far.

Lord that's a hard decision. I like and respect both so much it's really a hard choice. You know I honestly wouldn't be upset with either winning or losing. So I guess I really don't have a preference. I'm just happy the match is happening.

I think they will drag this feud out for some time. I don't look for either one to get a decisive victory this Sunday on pay-per-view. I've known Angle for longer and he's phenomenal but I'm really impressed with Samoa Joe more and more.

Both are good technical wrestlers, and are skilled in submission manoeuvres.
Joe has the edge in terms of power though.
