LOL how many frames is it? Maybe that's why no ones mentioned it before? I mean it's pretty obvious in Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man.

LMAO! I'm not drunk. I was just thinking of the other thread where we had to choose the best Universal films. I guess not being able to pick that was really bothering me. Damn it make it 5 choices! ;D

Well that's it no MOTM for Chainsaw again Damn it!!! ;D Just kidding Dave. But man you are so limiting. I can understand limiting it to 4 if it was in the 90's but man Universal Classics need about a Dozen.

I hated the idea of posting it. This flaw has never been documented in over 60 years? I just had too too make that joke ;D I'm sorry I'm glad you posted it.It doesn't bother me really. When i first saw the A&C mirror flaw, it really annoyed the hell out of me,but thanks to Kyle's explanation i can now sleep better at night.
It only makes sense that Drac's son has the same abilities. Very cool.

I haven't seen this one in years. As soon as I get a free night I'm definetly going to watch it again. I hate that this one's hardly ever on and I can never seem to catch this one when it is on TV around Halloween.

It was strange to see chaney playing a vampire, i'm just so used to seeing him as the wolfman. He pulled it off, but it was such a change. The acting was good, a nice vampire flick, but I'm going to focus the most on who's playing the count, again, lon chaney. Chaney is one of my favorite actors for a reason - he was the greatest werewolf in history. I saw Chaney as Frankenstein's monster in, the Ghost of Frankenstein I believe, and I wasnt...too...crazy over him as the Monster. He pulled off all three, wolfman, Dracula, and Frank's monster, but which one do I enjoy him the most and can REALLY compliment him - when he's the Wolfman. Maybe I'm just paranoid because I'm not seeing Lugosi as Dracula. This film was pretty swell. I havent watched classic horror in a long time unfortunately, so seeing this, and for free, was a real treat, and thanks so very much for that Demon. And as I saw you mention, and I agree, when he changes into a bat, it actually looks like he is (finally). It really took me back to the classic hororr era, and this movie will most certainly leave a mark on me. Cool man and thank you so much for watching!
Ya know actually The Ghost of Frank is prob my fav of the Frankenstein movies lol. He didn't do an amazing job to make me like it. It's not that, I just like the story because more happens in that movies. We get Ygor again and actually Chaney is the first actor to portray the Monster after Karloff! Musta been a lot of pressure. Although he didnt look right as the monster and they took away his ability to speak I think he filled in nicely. I actually have a statue of him and Lugosi as the monster on my shelf!Totally great, just as good as the first Universal Dracula with Lugosi, at first I didn't like Chaney as Dracula, the first scene he was in I was like, no, no ,no this just isn't gonna work for me. By the time it got to the second scene that he was in, the concern was gone. I think that the character was more developed then the original, who didn't have much emotion, and was kinda somber. Chaney gave Dracula a sense of feeling, the end where he was begging for the guy to put out the fire that was destroying his coffin really made me feel sympathy for him, I didn't want him to die, it was truly sad. The transformations were all in camera effects, which are always great, they rival the transformations from the Subspecies series, which were also created using old fashion techniques. 5 That's great man! Glad you loved it! Honestly I think this is a much better movie then the 1931 Dracula. Lugosi was a far better Dracula but the movie Dracula was so slow. Not much happened in it. Almost nothing happened. The best scene by far is the whole intro to Lugosi until the guy collapses from the bat hypo.
Funny you mention liking the last scene where Chaney yells "Put it out, do ya hear me!" while his coffin is burning up. Many elitist fans put down that scene. Claiming Chaney was completely out of character in that scene. I ask them this... do you really think it would have made for a better scene if Chaney was cool calm and collective watching his coffin burn, knowing that he was going to die due to the sunrise in a matter o minutes? What exactly did they want?
I thought he did that part perfectly! Everyone calm or whatever would have reacted that way once the adrenalin was rushing through them. Again glad you watched and loved it!
Here is a figure i bought at that last horror convention. I couldn't believe they had it! my fav Vampire ever!

I watched this last night but I forgot to write over here until I was reminded.
First off this movie is one that just gets better every time I see it. The end where Dracula/Alucard sees that his coffin is burning still gives me chills, Chaney just pulls you right in and makes you feel his panic. The effects are still great even all these years later especially the bat transformations and the smoke.

It's easily Chaney's second best Horror role. It's too bad it doesn't get the recognition it deserves.
