It was indeed awesome. It does just about everything to perfection in my opinion. The atmosphere, cinematography, score, suspense, and of course the gore are all top notch. There are many moments that are chilling and I really like how the film went after the initial 15-20 minute intro to the main character. The Woman is a great killer...in the beginning, she acts like Michael Myers, fading in and out of the shadows, simply being there in the background. Later, she gets pretty fucking crazy.
I can't say enough good things about this film. I've been thinking about how it stacks up with High Tension, which is the basically the recent French horror to be compared with. Another viewing is required, but I'm kind of leaning toward Inside at the moment.
When gems like this come along every now and then, it just goes to show that if we had more competent filmmakers and companies who care about their product, we would have a fresh gauntlet of future classics to enjoy.
9.5/10

I'm so glad you enjoyed it Jlaw!
I agree with everything you said. That lady is really creepy indeed, especially when she goes in and out of the shadows, you're right!
I've seen this 2 times total since i purchased it.I loved it even more the second time i saw it.
I highly recommend more people see it.
Thanks Jlaw for sharing your opinion, its greatly appreciated.
Looking forward in seeing more people vote. This will truly IMO go down as a horror classic in the years to come. Trust me #2n67qio#
Now i'm just waiting patiently to see what kind of madness the movie Frontier(s) brings.

Now, I watched the other night but was falling asleep during most of it. I did love it though. I loved the atmosphere, blood, music, brutality and gore.
Brandi had a different view and I need some help because I was half asleep and may have missed things.
****************SPOILERS*******************************
Brandi hated it and I will tell you why. First she asks why didn't the girl at least try to escape by yelling or pounding or anything when the doorbell rang after the cops left and said they would be back?
Why was she handed a gun while laying down by the cop and when the killer comes in she let her get on top of her and then bite her lip, why not just shoot her ass?
Why and how did that one guy fix the electricity and why did she even let that guy live when she first saw him when she killed everybody else instantly?
Why did she stab her mother when she called her when she clearly heard her voice and saw her before she stabbed her?
Why did that girl stab herself like that toward the end?
These are all reasons she hated it, too many plot holes. They didn't bother me as much cuz I was half asleep, but does any of this make sense to you guys?
Please help me make sense so I can convince her to watch it again with me. ;D

Some just have to be overlooked, suspension of belief almost always occurs in a slasher.
Some, like the girl stabbing her mother, can be explained away because of the stress such a situation puts on a person. Maybe she heard the voice, but it doesn't click. Sometimes the adrenaline takes over and you can't stop.
Personally, the only one that made me scratch my head was the restore electricity part, instead of getting the hell out. But again, it didn't really bother me...in the end it is a movie after all.

I was able to look past the stabbing of the mother thing for the reasons mentioned, but not the other things. I mean why even have the cop give her a gun and then she doesn't use it, why did they just write it in where he either doesn't hand her a gun or somehow it gets taken away. I just cant enjoy it the same when it makes so little sense.
Unless I am watching it to laugh at it, like some 80s slashers which are so bad they're good, but this isn't that kind of movie. I really wanted to take it seriously.
If there weren't plot holes this could have been a 4-4.5 star movie, now it only get a 3.
It's too bad, it could have been an instant classic, but I still enjoy it for reasons I mentioned.

Well, the same way you felt when you saw this is basically the same way i felt when i saw Zombieween. That film didn't make sense to me either.
But one thing about me though,i don't nip-pick at movies i watch i just enjoy it for what it is.The only reason i can't stand zombieween is because they shit all over a great original classic. But if i lived my life nip-picking at every movie i watched, theres no way i would enjoy the horror genre the way i do today.
Thanks for sharing your opinion chainsaw.
But i give inside 2 thumbs up.

I saw this movie today and liked it a lot!! I kind of got confused with the guy near the end of the film so I had to look it up online to see what the deal was. Refreshing, shocking, and definitely unforgettable.

Stinger, check out Frontiers if you can. IMO it is the best French horror to arrive yet.
