Same here. And I've not seen any previews for Hatchet yet... but any movie with a name like that has great potential. ;D

I have Hatchet on DVD (and Kyle is getting a copy) and it is the best horror film in years.

I can't wait till that comes out. I'll rent it in a heart beat. Maybe when that comes out, I'll rent that and Leslie Vernon (another movie I've been wanting to see) together.

I have Hatchet on DVD (and Kyle is getting a copy) and it is the best horror film in years. I can hardly wait until it gets here. Thanks again Jeremy! I really wish this film was getting a wider release. I wonder if there's a chance that if it does well in the places it is being shown if it will get a wider release? Anywho back to the awesomeness of the original Halloween. Like others have said seeing the theatrical version of the remake makes you realize just how great the movie is.

I hope they have some Halloween movies for cheap at Wal-Mart or somewhere come Halloween time. I want to watch the original again on DVD so I can compare it to this new one. I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to these movies and I'd like to refresh my memory.

They have the original in a new release of it for under 10 dollars at Wal-Mart.

Yeah, I saw it when I was at Walmart the other day. Thought about picking it up, but I just can't justify to myself buying it on DVD while my VHS copy is still working.

Yeah but the video quality is so much better on DVD. Plus it's the proper widescreen format instead of pan and scan. ANd the extras. Really you should think seriously of getting it.

Well, it is a pretty good price...and last time I watched my VHS tape it wasn't sounding too healthy. I might have to pick it up.

Mario Bava's Twitch of the death nerve started what John Carpenter's Halloween ended.
All the other major Horror Movie Franchises we love were all influenced from those 2 films. Especially the horror Boom in the 80's.
John Carpenters Halloween can never be replaced.

I don't know if this was mentioned, but Halloween was the highest earning independent movie of all time until Blair Witch came along.
