Aside from the title, it doesn't feel like a Halloween movie.
I know originally each Halloween movie was intended to be a different story set on Halloween, but that still doesn't explain why Halloween III sucked so bad, whether it be a stand-alone movie or compared to the previous Halloween installments.

The Reason why theres no Myers in it, Is because Michael was dead at the end of H2. And John Carpenter feelt there was not much of the story to tell, So John hade the idea of every Sequel to be about some horror story that took place on Halloween.

i actually liked this movie. i like the way they were attempting to go with the series. personally, i think they should have left michael dead, and continued to come up with new storylines rather than keep bringing back the same story again and again. i thought this one was veryu creative in it's approach with the witches offering up a sacrifice of the children on halloween. there's just something very spooky about that concept. i think it would have been better if they would not have had the androids, but instead had real live witches more similar to rosemary's baby.
