While in the producers cut, michael was the father, it was through in vitro, not rape. It was so the bloodline would be more ‘pure’
In the P-cut, we see Michael get jiggy with Jamie Lloyd in front of the Thorn Cult. It is kind of nasty.
It was in the Theatrical or ‘official’ cut that it was by rape, and it was Wynn that was the father, not Michael.
In the theatrical cut, all logic goes out of the window. It doesn't have a proper ending and the Thorn cult is set aside to focus on genetic engineering and test tube babies. It is no wonder that they went with the retcon in H20.
The Producer's Cut is lame as hell. Never understood why it is the preferred version. Outside of seeing little Jaime kidnapped and the kind of cool moment of the curse being passed to Loomis, it doesn't offer much to me.
The Theatrical Cut isn't much better...lol. It's grown on me over the years though. The father is a hilarious asshole and that kill with Michael bringing the axe down on the mother is awesome. And it's dark without venturing into the Rob Zombie realm of "dark".
I can't remember what I paid for the Producer's Cut, I think around $35 or so. Quite a lot for a crappy looking bootleg.
I enjoy the Halloween remake, but I've gained new affection for some of the lesser entries in this series, mostly because that's how it used to be and because I found Zombie's Halloween II absolutely disgraceful.
I actually have the blu-ray, got it for under $10 like I always do. Watched it a few months back, wasn't overly impressed but it will still get a view each October. Still prefer it a bit over parts 4 and 5, which I seem to like less after each viewing.

I told the others, they didn't believe me. You're all doomed. You're all doomed.
You let him drown. You never paid any attention. Look what you did to him. Look what you did to him.

Not a great story by any means. But it has such a great Halloween feel. It actually looks like it was shot around Halloween. I also love the Howard Stern wannabe shock jock. It was a vast improvement over part 5. But me filming a bowel movement would be better than part 5. ;D
Actually I recall Howard stating that he was never asked to be in H6. I remember feeling really disappointed when he said that to a huge horror fan. I totally agree Kyle ... 5 is prob one of the worst movies in horror. I can NOT sit though it. Its a total wast of human life. I have always had a soft spot for H6 because of the reasons Kyle mention. The atmosphere really pulls it through. Along with the asshole dad and Barry Sims (radio guy)
