The movie sucked.... badly... When I heard Jamie was back I got excited and bought a ticket to see it in the theater... let me just say this, It was a waste of my money. ...Amen, sister.

It is a disgrace because Jaime was never mentioned at all, not even by Laurie. I went into this in detail on the H20 message board. I like Michael and thought it would have been ok but nothing was explained- it was like 4-6 never happened.

Well let's face it not every sequal is gonna compliment the last movie in it's series... We all would like it too, but they just don't. To enjoy H2O you have to think of it as 20 years later from Lauries last experiance and that's it. And to answer your question Elias YES they absolutely MEANT to ignore parts 3-6. One of the main reasons for this is a reason people should appreciate it they truely love Michael Myers. It was because the writers, directors and Jamie Lee Curtis did not appreciate the Thorn storyline. They felt it was a poor attempt to try to do the biggest mistake which is OVER EXPLAINING the motives of the killer. Jason goes to Hell anyone?
Soooo they decided they can make Halloween H2O and would'nt have to mention 3-6 and still make a solid movie with a solid storyline which has a solid history (1 and 2) to give it a foundation.
If they scrapped the Jason goes to Hell storyline of (the worm is why he kills) then no one would have a problem with it. Yet they scrap Thorn Cult, and it pisses people off...
Well I felt the same way you guys did for the 3-6 ignoring, but when I realized when they actually did I began to appreciate it and understood that they did the right thing. However Jamie should have been mentioned as well as the return to Haddonfield like you said Elias. That's one thing they probably should'nt have scrapped...

Yet another 3.It was cool so see Laurie back again but it had a whole Scream feel to it that too many others had at that time.It really woulda been better had Donald Pleasance lived to revive the Loomis character though.I really give it a 3 because of the ending.Best ending of a movie ever.Laurie chops off his head suddenly and it rolls away, end of Michael, end of Lauries worries, and should have been end to series.Awesome stuff there. Then they had to go and ruin it with Resurrection but I dont count that as a movie as youll see in that thread

I liked it. Good movie, but I was dissappointed that there was no mention, flashback or anything of Jamie.

Highly overrated. Yeah, yeah it got Jamie lee Curtis, so what? That doesn't make any HalloweeN movie. H2O was just a Scream-Wannabe, With Dawson's Creek actors and the Music score was from Scream. The Halloween atmosphere is completly gone, The Characters are so one-dimensional and We got some shitty Teenyblopper style for the movie. And the Brilliant Halloween atmosphere is completly whipped out.
The First 1' minutes are the only thing that I find 'good' otherwise, a waste of my time.

That's a word I never understood. What people should say is, "I am a minority in this opinion" because overrated really makes no sense.
If someone says they love a movie and 2 million other people say they love it then that just means the movie is to there liking. They all rated it high because that's what they like. So the word overrated makes no sence... the movies is rated as people like it. Even though you may not think it's technically good enough for all the 5 ratings it got then that's still just your opinion.
To say it's overrated is to think the same people who gave it a 5 would look the movie over and rate it lower the second chance they get. Witch I don't think would be the case ever. (maybe 15% of the time with other stuff)

(maybe 15% of the time with other stuff)..I told you in my later post why H2O is overrated. Overrated is when people rate a certain movie far beyond good then what the movie it self is. H2O is overrated because of three things. 1. Jamie lee curtis 2. The 2Oths anniversary vibe 3.Lack of Movie knowlegde in the Teenage audience. This film was not made for the Fans, it was made for the Mainstream Teenage audience. Today every single movie is made for the Teenagers who want nothing but Blood, guts and gore and not an effective chilling Horror film.

I gave this a 4 out of 5. I loved seeing Jamie Lee back in action on the Halooween series. Great backstory and writing and excellent acting all around. It didn't quite capture the glitter of the first two but it was close.
