Yep. One of the very few things they got right was his casting IMHO.

H20 gets a 3/5 for me, didn't like the fact that they erased 4,5 and 6 and also didn't like Michael is this one, but still and overall good storyline, the series should have ended after this one

I agree.Malcolm McDowell was not responsible for the script and dialog at all. Hes a great actor.I really liked the movie Evilenko.Great addition in my horror dvd library.

I have developed quite an appreciation for H20.
It saved the series from going straight to video.
When H6 was a flop, they almost did a DTV movie about an evil magician that controlled Michael.

That would've been bad.

And incredibly insulting to the fans.

At that point, they would be forced to do a remake/reboot to bring it back in theaters, much like Hellraiser
The thing is that remaking everything in existence wasn't a trend yet, but it was when they were looking at the future of the series after Resurrection.

I might be the only one who thinks this, but I think that this has by far the best acting of all the Halloween films.

He stole a car from the woman right. I assume that's what he was there to do. Wanted to switch cars in case police were on his trail.

But how he know that anyone was gonna come there? And he was in a different state entirely, by the time the police found the first car he stole, he would have already arrived at Hillcrest.

Although it did seem pretty dead, it is a rest stop after all so someone was bound to show up eventually. And I guess the reason for stealing the car might have been because his other was out of gas or something rather than trying to cover his trail.

Not even close to the only one who thought Resurrection stunk. It took the great ending that H20 had and shit all over it.

One thing that they could have done with Resurrection was something Moustapha Akkad suggested which was say that the killer in h20 wasn't Michael Myers but someone who was obsessed with his crimes and wanted to finish what he started. Which could also explain why Michael was grabbing his mask when Laurie said his name after the accident. But they never went with the idea.
