Yes it is.I was a little surprised, but yes its still there. They completely ignored the workprint. But you know i've learned to ignore these kind of things now. My Japaneses Bushido swordsmanship classes really is teaching me how to control myself and think rationally instead of with anger.

Please sit back, relax, and enjoy the deadpit ride with the Creepy Kentuckian and Uncle Bill.
Best damn review i heard in a long time. Watch the entire review.
If you fast forward to 13 minutes you'll see how depressed they were, same way i felt when i first saw the f*cking movie.

I just saw Joe as a poorly written character meant to give Ken Foree a cameo because he is Rob's friend. And again with the "true" fan analogy, which everyone must get the meaning of by now given the other use of it in the Halloween 5 thread. Yes, it was a very poorly written character. Oh, well... I do not know why you mentioned the "true fan" comment I wrote. Please explain. As an English teacher, I will tell you that that is not an analogy but an adjective phrase used for description. I agree with the guys at Deadpit on a lot of points. When I saw Zombie's Halloween very few people were in the theatre, and when the movie ended people walked out quietly not saying anything. Everyone looked disappointed. The audience was at least 35 years old and up. A lot of us remember Carpenter's Halloween as being a classic, and do not understand why a remake was even made. I think we went to see Zombie's film out of curiosity.

Thankyou.

See. I knew her saying true fan was nothing more than her description of her love of the Halloween series and had nothing to do with her feeling she was a better fan or that her opinions mean more. Glad to have you here terridawn.

I've gotten used to remakes. I guess it was kind of hard not to. Lord knows we get so many anymore. ;D And I really wanted it to be a good movie. Because after Resurrection the idea of rebooting the whole thing was pretty appealing. But like a fair amount of people here it let me down pretty badly. One plus did come from the movie though. It made me appreciate Zombie's first 2 movies more. Because they look much better by comparison. ;D

Yeah, TDR looks very good compared to it now, but the remake is down there with 1000 Corpses for me. I am one of the few that thinks HO1KC was a masterpiece. I enjoyed DR as well but Corpses was a flavor all it's own. Like Natural Born Killers and SIn CIty.
ANyway, after more viewings of Zombieween, I like it less. That happens to me a lot actually. I really liked TCM remake when I saw it at the movies, and now I do not. Something about the theater experience and not having high expectations. But, they are still both decent slashers.'I would be more willing to watch Zombieween than TCM remake, but they both are 2.5 - 3 out of 5 stars as far as slashers go for me.

That never really happened to me yet.I did purchase the Zombieween dvd but i never sat down and watched all of it.I just made that one gif for colt and another one of the kid beating, thats it.
Thats the only dvd in my stack i treat that way though. With all my others,i usually go through my GIF folder, see a gif i like, and that ignites the flame to watch the dvd.
Works all the time. For me that is,its just a creative way to keep the horror romance going.

Thanks everyone! I am glad to be here.
Remakes are where it's at, according to Hollywood Studios. I think they know the films already have an audience, and see it as a way to make a lot of money. I guess that is also why we see a lot of sequels, movies based on true stories/actual events, and movies adapted from books. Hollywood wants to know there is an audience.
I write original screenplays, so I guess I will remain an independent filmmaker.
The newest remake: Prom Night. I am still deciding whether I want to see it or not. The story is drastically different from the original.

Yes i haven't even bothered to go see the remake in the movie house. But i find the original Prom to be quite sexy. Not a turnoff at all.
Jamie Lee Curtis did a great job in that film.

Prom Night is also PG-13, so that is a huge turnoff for me. But so was I Am Legend, but that was good.

Prom Night MAY get away with being PG-13. I mean, it is obvious the target audience is teenagers and young adults. They want to make sure they can get in to see the film, so PG-13 is, to them, a fair compromise to ensure they get the most profits possible.

. Characters are stabbed multiple times and only driblets of blood lingering in the aftermath. I don't see why they even bother to make a slasher film like that at all. If you're going to have somebody kill in a movie, make the shit look realistic then.
I'm not going to see it,plus the trailer never caught my attention.

Slashers and PG-13 just don't work. I have to agree, PG-13 and slashers just don't mix well together... I've seen the promos for this and it doesn't entice me very much.
