yes ur right but that to me makes no sense. lets say he did block out all the memories of killing his family, why would he go after his sister then? how would he even know who his sister is? I'm not calling anyone out who liked this movie, your entitiled to your opinion and thats a good thing, I'm just totally against this movie One of the many plot holes in the movie.

H13, You are comparing it to the original. Before this movie even went into production RZ said that it would be HIS TAKE. Did you expect to see JC's halloween remade scene by scene?

I don't think anybody wanted another Psycho remake (shot for shot), but it is human nature to compare it to the original. The way I see it, if you compare the two movies as separate films and not an original and remake, it still fails.

alright if RZ said that this movie was not a remake and that it was his own vision of Halloween how come there are tons of scenes in this movie that are from the original?
this is my take on it if RZ was going to make a Halloween movie he should have done a squel to Resesurection. Making Halloween and saying that it was his own take on it is a complete joke. Almost nothing from this movie came from RZ, besdies the 1st like 20 min. Yes many parts of the movie where his own ideas but the parts that make those scenes are all remade. He intoduced almost no new characteres, no change in music, and the same setting as the original. This movie was a highway robbery of the orignal just so the slumpping Rob Zombie could make sure he had a retirment fund. and now I hear of squel rummors and it makes me sick. if they even consider making a squel I 'd love to see how they could clean up the ending. if you gave this movie a 5/5 i'm just shocked the voting should just start at 4/5 just becasue the whole movie's was all the orignal's ideas

It was perfectly logical that he grew up to be that big... that is one big boned kid and he had a lot of meat on him. he's exactly the kind of kid who would grow up to be that big...
This movie is really not that bad... well the workprint was good at least...
It will never grow on me as a whole but I already love lots of scenes...

I am kind of curious as to how Michael Myers did get so buff, I don't think he had access to weights and such. Hm...

Tyler Mane is pretty slim compared to how big he used to be in his WCW days.

Lord there's a lot of hate. And it's from people who are doing too much comparing with the original. I think if Zombie had had his way the movie would have had less connections to the original than it did. But when it was announced the movie was being made everyone was so upset that it was happening that he decided to do his movie (The prequel part) and then throw in references to the original to appease the older fans. That obviously backfired because then it makes people compare the two movies and it obviously doesn't stack up. There was just no way he could have done it to please everyone. I like the WP more and more. The version in theaters was considerably altered for the worse. But enough of the hate people. You have the right to your opinions but good Lord some of you are taking it a little too personally. It's getting almost as bad as some of the Star Wars fanatics who claim George Lucas raped their childhoods. LOL

Lets call a meeting. We have to put an end to this Halloween violence/war. How can we all be happy here.. Lets pretend that JC's Halloween really happened in the real world and RZ's Halloween is the movie relating to the real events that took place in October 1978.. Hows that? I came up with this after a few drinks tonight.

I think Rob Zombie should probably go into hiding for a while, I'm sure he's going to be under an assassin's bullet for quite some time after this. Commercially he may be fine, but the dedicated fan base is pretty vicious... just look at what they did to John Lennon.

I think RZ's career will be just fine. He is still one of the best newhorror directors around, along with Roth and Aja. I do like his movies in the order they were put out from best to worst, but still enjoy all 3 of them. I still say he should have remade the original and then done a prequel instead of making it all into one movie, but I still enjoyed it regardless.

Well I watched it thanks to a thing we call the internet, it was clear and easy to watch, anyway here's something like a review.
***MAY HAVE SPOILERS***
The Reasons why I didnt like the Halloween remake was that I didnt like the Idea of showing what Made Michael Myers evil in the first place, Not knowing what makes him tick is to me, made him a good horror character, The original Halloween is frightening because the child Michael myers has no reason to kill his sister, he just does and never speaks another word, Another problem with this movie is the gore. I like horror for its gore, but when you uses it excessively in a movie there are few cases when it makes the movie scary. In this "reimagining" not only are there unnecessary character deaths that destroy any sort of realism, but there is no creativity in the death scenes in my opinion, another reason was the lines, the swearing made me laugh for a short while, but then it got boring and annoying, it made me forget I was watching a horror film, it seems Rob Zombie wanted to win a metal for the most swear words in a film, another thing is that Michael Myers in this film doesnt need stealth, because he can because he's 7 feet tall and can throw people across a room and tear a wall down with his bare hands as he makes a direct line to Haddonfield, I liked Michael Myers because he is like a ghost who can silently move from house to house, Michael Myers was like Jason Voorhees in this film in my view, I was fine with the Nudity but is this a horror film or a porno film.
The good things was Malcolm McDowell, who plays Dr. Loomis and the kid who was young Michael Myers, but the rest of the actors were quite annoying.
1.5/10.... that would be a 1/5.

*****SPOILERS***** I feel really bad for not liking this film. I really like Rob Zombie's music. Maybe in another time and place, where John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN never existed, this would be a good film. I love Rob's music,And i totally agree with you Mrs. Count. If John Carpenter's film never existed The work Print would have been a good film. The main reason i don't care much for this film is because Carpenter's Halloween exist. If Rob Zombies Halloween was made first and JC's Halloween never existed. Hell yes i would like RZ's Halloween. No doubt. But unfortunatly Jc's Halloween does exist, and thats the film i prefer.

So when is the score being released?
The music (less Love Hurts) was the sole good thing about it.
